My family and I have been loyal customers of Cutler & Gross for many years. We will be their customers forever and I'd like to tell you why.
Their glasses are stylish, unique and are very strong and will stand up to the occasional rough treatment that I subject them to.
During the early panic stricken days of the pandemic, I was very worried that my only pair of glasses might become damaged and wanted a back-up pair. Retail stores were not even open at that time. When I expressed my concern to Arturo at Cutler & Gross, what did he do? He had the glasses made for me and personally delivered them

Not cheap, but these are the best pair of glasses I have ever owned. So stylish and durable, made with such high-quality. I could not recommend this brand enough. So lucky to have just walked by the Boutique... Of course this was pre-Covid LOL

Great experience shopping at Cutler and Gross Soho. I’ve been a customer for years. The staff is knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. Most importantly: they offer a great product. Dynamic, one of a kind designs that extremely well made. You can feel/see the quality. Their frames are well worth the investment.

I have bought several pairs of glasses and sunglasses from Cutler and Gross for both myself and my family. The staff is extremely knowledgable and helpful. They are always happy to make adjustments due to wear and tear. Their selection is by far the most stylish and I have received numerous compliments on my glasses! I recommend them highly!!

Arturo and staff provide amazing professional service. They are talented design professionals, I have been so pleased with all of my glasses from C & G. Arturo worked with me on some Bespoke glasses as well. All has been accomplished easily despite living on the west coast. I could work with California shop but prefer to work with Arturo. I heartily recommend C & G without reservation. You will not be disappointed!

Simply the BEST in luxury eye wear! The Cutler and Gross team in New York City is amazing in every way - customer service, knowledge, and efficiency. I have purchased glasses from other high-end stores in Manhattan and all of them fail in comparison. Arturo Vale and the rest of the staff are incredible; they always go above and beyond to make their customers happy!

Terrific selection of distinctively designed, well made frames and exemplary service from Arturo and staff. I now own five pairs of Cutler and Gross frames and have never been disappointed. I've even had them restore an older pair of mine to as good as new. The staff take their time to ensure a proper fit and follow a quality check procedure to ensure accuracy. I've never had a problem but trust that they would fix it quickly if one were encountered. I'd also recommend their in house optometrist, Dr. Willingham. Very thorough examination and good guy as well.

Excellent customer service and amazing product.
I have been a customer since 2014, own a few pairs. Minor repairs are handled quickly, more complex replacements in a few days. I have yet to pay any fee, even though one of my frames is 4 years old and I had to bring it more than once for adjustment.
The frames are of excellent quality, and the styling of their seasonal sunglasses collections can make you spend an hour trying them on. They create some of the coolest sunglasses ever; and their permanent collection of prescription frames exudes refined classicism with interspersed razor sharp edgier

Not only are the glasses of the highest quality and style; the level of service is above and beyond. Store manager Louis Vincent provided me with excellent service and went so far as to recommend a great opthalmologist that was able to perform an eye exam and update my prescription on very short notice. I currently have 3 pairs of C&G glasses and recommend them to everyone who compliments or asks who makes my frames. 5 big stars for the whole process.

What a great experience. Not only are these designs chic, whimsical and completely timeless, but they're incredibly well-made. The service and customer experience is the blueprint on how it should be done, and these folks stand behind their brand. I had brought my frames in for an adjustment and left with two new frames and a like-new pair that I brought in. I'm a Cutler & Gross lifer!

My sunglasses were in a terrible shape, faded color around the bridge area & around the hands behind my ears from my extra perspiration... now I have a pair of NEW glasses, great customer care, I even had the lenses changed.

The five star rating is for the Store Manager Mr. Louis Vincent. There was an issue with the lenses and he most professionally, kindly, and quickly had it resolved, and I received my glasses in matter of only a few days. The experience was exceptional I must say, so thank you!
As for the store itself, there is a huge selection of some of the most amazing glasses/frames to choose from. Parking around the area is an issue, but worth the trouble for the selection and the personal attention of Louis.

I visited the down Town location at 110 Mercer Street, New York New York 10012 one time and ever since I have been visiting every year for at least 2 times for my glasses and prescriptions. The last time I visited was early this month January 2020.The Manager and the staff are the kind of people you want to do business with .They treat you a like a celebrity. They take their time to find out what you need . They are very professionals. I have 4 frames and 7 lenses from them. This shows you how much I love to visit this Place . My wife and I have purchased 6+ pairs of glasses each time the staff have been helpful and extremally friendly, we almost feel like family! The glasses are reasonably priced and hold up over the long haul. Very good quality. The choices for frames is almost overwhelming!! The best option in NYC by far.

My friend and I stopped by here to casually look for new eye wear. We both ended up purchasing glasses. First, the selection is great. All the glasses are sturdy and well made. I've worn my pair daily for 4 years and the shape has held up. There's also great selection for sunglasses. Second, customer service was great. The sales person was highly knowledgeable and helped me to find good options. They also recommended the right style. They made slight adjustments and shipped out my eyewear to Boston within a few days. And followed up with me to make sure I was satisfied.

Their customer service is non-existent. I was in contact with their staff for months (close to a year) over a poorly made pair of sunglasses. They refused to offer repairs for the lenses.

EDIT : They offered to tighten the sunglasses but requested for payment to fix the lenses.

Unethical, lacking in quality and for that price point there are several other companies worth purchasing from.

My all time favorite glasses store! Real honest staff that knows what looks good on your face shape! The first pair I tried on was the one I went home with! Jonathen was so helpful and knows his sh*t! The best quality and coolest frames are there... all handmade in Italy of the highest quality and most fashionable shapes. Got my new prescriptions lenses and frames in about a week... perfect! Will be getting my next pair there too!

Came by today to get my Galahad Kingsman frame tweaked. They were very helpful and adjusted my frame without hesitation. The store was very clean and staff were very nice and helpful. Huge selection of quality made frames in so many unique colors.

A bit pricey ($400 and up) but if you want a frame with unmatched quality, pick up a pair. You'll be happy.

Finding the perfect pair of eye frame is an arduous task that requires diligent research, patience, and the ability to pick a frame that's been created with artistic craftsmanship and clean aesthetic. What do I mean by that? What makes Cutler and Gross so special? Well, each pair is hand made and takes 6 weeks to be crafted. Talking about dedication. This lengthy methodical assembly makes it that much more special and separates it from other brands. That aside, frames also have to speak to me, and while there are countless of frame designers that seem to have recently emerged in the LA market
