Just two short years later, the store doubled in size and underwent a complete remodel, we're talking 'Extereme Makeover'! Don and Rachel worked for the shop for a couple of years prior to taking over from Pacific Dive. Primary motivation - 24 HOUR ACCESS TO TANKS! Ha, ha, ha! Of course, they also had 1,000 or so different ideas that they wanted to try out too!
While we may sometimes invite friends and family members to join us for the last open water dive, the rest of the training dives are for students only. In training situations, it is best to maintain the integrity of the classroom atmosphere without additional distractions. Children ages 12 and up may complete all levels of certification through Rescue Diver.

Maui Dreams Dive Co was one of the more reasonably priced places we were looking at. My wife and I did our Advanced Open Water Certification with them. They communicated great, were prompt, always on time, and incredibly educational. Our Dive Master was Walter. I cannot say enough positive things about Walter. He leveled up our skills tremendously. We learned everything we needed to learn and more. We did 5 dives at 4 different locations so while we were getting educated we also got to have a variety of dives. I greatly recommend Maui Dreams Dive Co for recreational and educational dives.

Maui Dreams worked with us to schedule multiple private charters during our visit to Maui and certification for one of our guests. The vessels are impeccably clean and comfortable, the crew is very attentive, and they worked with us to ensure we got to the kind of sites we wanted to dive. Our party was filled with very experienced divers (many of whom have worked in the industry) and all of us agreed that this is a quality, trustworthy operation, we would definitely book with again. We had a fantastic time with not only the dive crew, but with our dives as well! Very well organized and lots of communication through the whole process. It was my best boat dive ever! Maui Diamond boat was great, Don has a great team, very organized and well trained crews. Our dive guide Yoyo is very knowledgeable and professional, showing us lots of cool stuffs. The whole experience was just wonderful, the crews were very helpful and made the dive experience easier and more enjoyable! Will definitely come back next time visiting Maui!

Great vibes from this shop! We went to Maui Dreams 3 or 4 times during the trip for snorkel gear, scuba gear, and information about where to go. Every person we encountered was really great. Walter helped us the most when we rented a bunch of scuba gear for my family. Very engaged and positive. Highly recommend!

I contacted them at the last moment. They did not have availability for a boat dive but helped me with a shore dive, something I usually do not like to do. Turned out this was a fantastic dive. Dave was the dive master and he took care of everything including carrying and preparing all the equipment. Parking was not a problem so all I had to do was wear the stuff and jump in the water. Dave is the best dive master I ever had. He gave an excellent briefing, reviewed the signals, and even taught us signals about specific types of fish which turned out to be useful because we saw many different kind

My family and I did a 2 tank dive: first dive at Molokini and the second at a mystery location - sounded fun! Our second dive wasn't at one of the many gorgeous coral reefs along Maui's coast, but rather, an old Navy boat anchor more en route to our port. It was so disappointing and dull compared to the beauty that attracts divers to Maui. Not what we expected or signed up for.
On this second dive, the surf really came up by the time we surfaced. My mother was the last person in the water in

We had an amazing time with Maui dreams. All the crew were awesome and really made you feel comfortable and fun. Laurel was our dive master and she was awesome!!!! After each dive she pulled out her books and showed us every fish and critter we saw. Highly recommend ! Very professional and fun group! They also will take lots of pictures of what you see and of you which is great!

I completed my Advanced Open Water here this week and , coming from Michigan, it was my first introduction to salt water and ocean diving. My instructor Walter took a lot of time with me practicing good form and habits and I came out as a stronger diver by the end of it! Awesome staff made this a memorable trip for me!

We recently had a great experience completing our PADI Open Water Diver certifications with Maui Dreams. Booking was super easy. Their website has a great overview of everything involved in the course.
Our instructor, Walter, reached out to us via text messages a couple days ahead of time, offering to answer any questions and inviting us to stop by the shop in Kihei to complete some initial paperwork ahead of time. He did a great job connecting with our two teenagers (15 & 16) who were a little anxious about learning how to dive.
He had great answers to our questions about tank inspections

What a fabulous team and shop this is!! I randomly walked into this place to buy a beanie last Nov and met the front desk staff, all of them were super nice. While casually talking with them, I realized I can opt for peak buyouncy specialty the next day. My instructor was Kerri and we did shore dives at Ulua. Kerri was patient and taught me many tricks. He is also super experienced and could figure out skills that I was struggling with and helped me build confidence. Then few days later, I decided to dive Lanai and Carthaginian with this crew but with personal life I had to keep canceling my plans

HIGHLY recommended by friends who live on Maui, and now also HIGHLY recommended by me. You'll be delighted if you choose these folks.
The skipper/owner and crew were super knowledgeable, gracious, and friendly. Boat was sweet. We felt very safe--even from a diver with a bad attitude who was super disrespectful to the skipper as we were getting a safety briefing. The skipper asked him and his party to leave. He said he hasn't needed to do that in 10 years. I'm so glad he did.
Turning down business and risking getting flamed on social media by an as*hole is a gutsy move ..

We had great dives with Maui Dreams Dive. We were set up with Kim and she was so awesome under water. She wore 2 different color fins, so it was super easy to stay with our group and not get lost in a busy dive site. Our original dive site plan did not work out due to conditions, but another site was chosen and it was amazing! We saw so many turtles, sharks, eels, frogfish and so much more. Kim also helped me trouble shoot some problems I was having with my mask and fins. Dave was also great and had great tips for photo editing. We will definitely use them for future dives on Maui! I can't say enough good things about this dive shop. The people are not only great to be around, but they're deeply knowledgeable and put safety first. This is my SIXTH dive with them, so I'm confident saying they great experience wasn't just a fluke. There wasn't a moment in any dive I've done with them where I didn't feel like I was in good hands. I've gone with both Yoyo and Kelly, and they're seriously some of the coolest girls I've met. All the other staff in the shop and on the boat were also amazing. Great Dive Shop! Probably the best all around dive company I've dove with and I've been diving for 20+ years. Starting with the boat, it was basically brand new so everything was tip top. The boat slip was super easy to get to. The crew was very organized and top notch. Had 3 dive masters for about 16 people so good small group sizes for the dives. Captain Joe was very involved, nice and took the time to learn you name. They provided snacks and ice cold drinks. Had water proof bins to store your dry gear under your seat. DM's were super nice and new the reefs. Highly recommend using this dive co

Had a great time with MDD. These were my first dives after my certification and the entire crew was helpful and very patient with me. We dove at Airport beach for a DSD with a friend that was experiencing diving and headed to Molokini Crater for our other dives. MC was such a great experience. The life we were able to see and the amazing blue waters were awesome.
The crew was great and I loved that our dive group was small and only included 5 people. Will definitely dive with this amazing crew again, highly recommend!

I'm glad they take Covid seriously, but with how adamant they are with all of the precautions you aren't really able to have a snack or drink without having to ask real nicely for an instructor to get it for you; even when you're chewing they're telling you to put your mask on and it kind of just takes away from the experience

Maui Dreams contributes a strong sense of diving community. They sponsor an underwater Halloween Pumpkin Carving contest, an underwater "Tell Santa What you Want" photo op. Maui Dreams developed the Hawaiian Endemic Fish ID certification for PADI. They promote and support diving through everything they do. Their owners actually dive for fun in their free time.

This is my third visit to Maui Dreams in 10 or so years. The staff, instructors, boat and shop are way more attentive and professional than the shops back at home in Southern California.
I just finished my PADI DPV Specialty (dive scooters) with Javier and had one of the most memorable dive days of my 30+ years of diving.
