Scuba Luv Maui

We did an intro to scuba lesson for our three teenagers. Tim was terrific, very thorough on the safety and equipment and techniques, and managed to make it fun and not dry and boring. We felt very confident having our kids’ safety in his hands. Great location for a shore dive, with a very short walk to the water and a nice quiet place for the lesson first on the land. Then some good reef just offshore with lots of sea life to look at. And great photos from Tim’s camera (way better than my own underwater camera did).

Great dive with Keone, Jen, Matt, and Jerome were all great on our dives. Good boat, friendly crew, experienced group and very accommodating. Matt was our dive master, extremely attentive and aware of what was going on. He was supportive and friendly. Both Keone and Jen provided useful information before each dive and made safety their first priority, highly recommend.

I luv Scuba Luv Maui. We were travelling from California and I knew I needed a refresher dive, as I was newbie diver who had not dived in a year. I was very anxious. I first talked to Diana who was super helpful and got me calmed down. She set up a Refresher Dive with Tim for me and my husband. Tim was sensational. An extremely capable diver and instructor, and great fun. He helped me relax and look forward to diving. He guided us carefully through the dive, helping and coaching as necessary. I was thrilled! Diana also set up a couple of dives for me and my husband, which suited our level of diving

Tim was an excellent instructor for my PADI open water scuba certification course! I would highly recommend Scuba Luv Maui to anyone thinking of trying out scuba.

Tim was a great instructor. We got certified this week and I just went out to molokini and did my first open water dive as a certified open water diver and felt totally prepared. The certification dives were fun and we saw some really cool fish and turtles!

We did our first ocean dive from the shore with these guys. Tim was fantastic. He was super patient and explained everything along the way. He was excited during the dive and showed us a lot of really interesting sea life. Half the fun was the dive, half was visiting and learning from Tim.

Fantastic dive guides for both vacationers and kama 'aina. They provide excellent equipment and make sure you are comfortable and having fun. I was certified in a week and can't wait to go on future dives with them. After your dive, Tim sends you copies of all the great pictures he took. Love the close-up of the moray eel. Mahalo!

Tim and Di excel at teaching the technical aspects of diving (certification) and at guiding and finding the critters that remain hidden to most of us. I expected certification to be grueling, but they incorporate the skills into "fun" dives, so it hardly felt like work at all. On the four dives I took with them, I saw an octopus, two different kinds of moray eels, turtles, and many, many fish. Tim writes the names of the fish on his underwater pad, so you get a dose of oceanography, along with a fun, safe, relaxing dive.

We went to Maui and had a amazing intro dive with Steve Harmon. He is a great teacher and made everyone feel calm and secure. We are all now taking the Padi Dive course and will be returning to finish the class with Scuba Luv Maui!

It was my 12 yr old daughter and my first experience scuba diving. Scuba steve was amazing. He put both of us at ease. My daughter was a little scared going down at first. He took his time with her and next thing i know she was scuba diving like she had done it many times before. We loved him so much we booked again 2 days later. We saw great fish and was swimming with a turtle.

Really enjoyed our very first scuba experience with this group. They snuck us in same day after the other dive company we had reserved with cancelled on us.
They took their time to make sure we were well taken care of, safe and comfortable the entire time. We got to see some amazing reef, a bunch of fish and a few turtles.
Definitely recommend them for anyone wanting to try scuba and see the world from below.

This was our second time diving with Steve on a scooter tour. Awesome time and great photos!! Steve and Di are terrific, and we will book again next time we're in Maui!

We had an incredible experience as a family diving in Maui! Steve made it so easy for us, as we met him on the beach and he had all our equipment ready for us! The water was gorgeous and the sea life was incredible! We recommend Scuba Luv Maui for anyone wanting to dive while in Maui!

I had a great experience with the whole staff of Scuba Luv Maui. I did both of my open water dives with their instructors to get certified before doing a guided reef tour. All the instructors and dive masters were professional and courteous. When I needed my certification referral paperwork years later they were able to produce it at a moment's notice. I highly recommend diving with this team if you want a relaxing enjoyable SCUBA experience conducted by a cheerful experienced team.

Scuba Luv has been my boyfriend's go to Scuba trip for several years and now it's mine. I did referral dives with Scuba Luv to become PADI open water certified this year and Steve Harmon was great. He is always calm and steady and takes fun pictures! Can't wait to go one a scooter dive next year as my boyfriend raves about how fun they are! Scuba Luv is a hidden gem among the dive shops in the area and Diana makes it easy to schedule anything. Highly recommend!

Me and my bloke did our first discovery dives with Steve on a quick trip in Maui. Steve! What can I say! Bloody legend. We were both wetting ourselves and Steve's as calm as a otter. He was patient with us and made sure we felt straighty 180 before we went down. And the ocean, what a sight for sore eyes. Those little fishies can swim let me tell ya. Even saw one of them turtles and could hear the whales going at it the whole time. Fair dinkum! See some fellas here complaining about no snacks, bring your own bloody snacks mate. It's a dive not a dine-in. Thanks for the bloody beaut dive

Steve is a great dive instructor. SCUBA luv is very lucky to have him :) Diana was very nice as well.

They never "promised" anything different, so this input is based on dealing with other LOCAL shops...

My one issue is that there is no store front and no snacks were provided. The dives were completed from a circle of chairs from a beach location. Your gear can/will be locked up in a van. I must be spoiled b/c all other multi-dives I have done on Maui have at least had cookies to keep your energy levels up.

PROS: Again, Steve is great. I HIGHLY recommend

Did the Superman dive. It was awesome.

The staff was very helpful and knowledgable. And friendly. They took care off all the equipment and made it a lot of fun.

My wife and I did our open water certification with Steve(s) over a long weekend in early February. Our plans came together last minute but Di and her team were super accommodating and flexible to fit us in despite our short stay and desire to finish early one afternoon. The Steves were so nice and patient throughout the lessons, providing helpful tips and reassuring us along the way. Highly recommend to anyone new to diving but wanting to try it out while in Maui!

We had a friend visiting from the mainland who really wanted to dive and see sea turtles during her trip. We had originally tried booking with another company but due to miscommunication it didn't go through. Luckily, they referred us to Scuba Luv Maui!

The hubs and our friend ended up meeting the instructor at Makena Beach Resort. It was the 1st dive for the hubs and the 2nd for my friend. They weren't quite sure what to expect; however, it turned out to be one of the best experiences ever. Their instructor, Steve, gave detailed instructions and really made sure that they felt safe

This is a small operation located right on the beach in Kihei. We traveled with 2 kids and they were perfect for our family. Great interaction, patient with the less experienced divers, and Kevin was an amazing teacher. He has seen the world and his stories are great. He made those of us who were nervous feel very comfortable and helped us to enjoy ourselves.

The equipment was well maintained, and the ocean shore entry is easily accomplished.

Highly recommend this company for the newbie diver. Great with families. Dedicated small groups. Love them.
