Founded by a Holocaust survivor, Sandler's Shoes celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. Abraham Sandler grew up in a Lithuanian town that was liquidated by the Nazis in World War II. Nearly all of Sandler's family was killed and many young men were rounded up in the middle of town and shot down, including his brother.

For over 10 years I have struggled to find shoes that were comfortable - with plantar fascitis, orthotics and a foot and leg edema, I had given up. I walked in Sandler's and was approached by Marty who asked what I was looking for. I told him my issues, and what colors I had hoped to find. He measured my feet, went to the stockroom and came out with 3 pairs - 2 of which came home with me.

For all of you who run downtown and to the north side, be advised that there is a place in the southeast suburbs for comfort shoes. I spent an entire Saturday afternoon trying on shoes here because there was so much to choose from. I went home with several pair. They have all the brand names - Wolky, Naot, SAS, Drew, Aetrex and many more. They have shoes for men and women. They have a clearance room - not just a section. The sales team is knowledgeable. We really need to support this store if we want them to remain in the southeast suburbs- the store is in Lansing and you've probably passed it

The BEST place to buy shoes!
Went in for sandals and was all set to purchase a pair, when Phil told me about a new color and design. So ordered them on Monday and was called on Friday they were in! Couldnt be more pleased! They are beautiful, fit perfectly, and made in the USA!

I needed some cute and supportive shoes for my work, which requires walking on concrete for 8+ hours every day. Seth at Sandlers helped me with amazing patience, cheer and shoe wisdom. I've purchased so many pairs of shoes online, but none of them matched the pair I found at Sandlers. You just can't get the same fit without an in-person try-on and good guidance. I found that--and my favorite new shoes!--from Sandlers, and I'm grateful.
