The Mowell Family has been serving Fayette County and the surrounding area families for years. We are honored to be a part of the rich history of this community and plan to be a part of it for many years to come. It was 1964 when C.J. & Faye Mowell decided to move to Fayetteville, GA, and Carl J Mowell & Son Funeral Home was established.

I would like to thank Todd, John, Isabelle, Joshua and all attendants for guiding us through he toughest journey/challenge of our lives. Todd recommended the perfect officiant-Joshua. Todd was the perfect match for our family. He guided us through the process with compassion, common sense advice, humor and calmness. Todd is a top notch professional. Our program was absolutely beautiful, as well as the video John produced. We had multiple detailed requests and everyone so patient with us. My dad would have loved the job Mowell did, and I feel so fortunate to have the most beautiful service to honor

I highly recommend Mowell Funeral and Cremation Service. They were very kind, thorough, efficient, and professional throughout the entire funeral process for my father and my mother. Following the funeral, they texted the family periodically to check on us, sent grieving materials via mail, and even sent a birthday text on the day of my mother’s birthday. It meant a lot to me. Every person here at Mowell has been super helpful. I was the only family member available to make all the arrangements, I felt alone, and I was overwhelmed. But Mowell gave me a sense of ease and I felt relieved as they have been by my side. Thanks to everyone who has welcomed me and assisted me the many times I have been there trying to get everything together for my grandmother who passed. Wonderful experience.

These folks at Mowell did a fantastic job for my mother's funeral preparations. Very kind. Very understanding. They took the time assist in last minute changes and amendments to her final resting place. They also work with you on payment methods. I highly recommend them. Todd, Lisa, Isabel, Mr. Mowell, Steve, Patricia, and everyone else were very helpful. You make a good decision when you go here for your loved ones.

Everything was handled perfectly. Just the right amount of concern for my family and respect for the procedure. The death of a loved one is traumatic enough but when you have a funeral home that takes the family through the process in a loving and careful way it makes the whole experience less stressful.
