Inviting, warm and meticulously well kept inn. Wood burning fireplaces everywhere with massage, cooking classes and yoga on site. Seriously good vibes here. Loved all of my stays. Very accommodating and friendly staff. oh.. and the wonderful covered pool and hot tub. Worth every penny and then some.

Beautiful grounds, close to small town of Mendocino, short drive to Fort Bragg. The room was beautiful and catered well to myself and my dog.
What amazed me was I found out I was celiacs right before my stay. I contacted the staff asking if they had gluten free options. The nutrionist personally emailed me and walked me through their menu and process. He even made sure I had reservations for food and oversaw my meal prep to make sure there was no contamination!
My only complaints are the food and bed. I'm not vegan and I understand that it is clearly defined that that is their style. Breakfast

We spent four nights at the Stanford Inn and had 8 meals at Ravens, the hotel restaurant, and left enthusiastically satisfied with the experience. The rooms are beautifully appointed with everything you need, the grounds and gardens are lovely and inviting, and the restaurant was outstanding. I had one meal that was ok, the rest (and the coffee!) were excellent. My wife and I appreciate the exclusively plant-based menu and we also appreciate the health measures the restaurant currently employs, including requiring that all eligible diners are vaccinated - for everyone else’s health. We have been to Mendocino many times, but this time it was different. I was wondering why?
And the answer, Stanford Inn!
Exceptional location, on boarding, living and dining experience...there is a charm to the place that words cannot capture and you have to experience it. The rooms can't be more cozy looking across the pacific and crackling wood burning fireplace inside. The room amenities were top notch..
Their restaurant " The Raven" is vegan, and oh boy...what nice preparations. The dining room look across the coast and you enjoy the healthy bites...they have their own garden..so quality

I really love the compassionate philosophy of this place and I really love the beautifully landscaped gardens. A true retreat to a tranquil and naturally beautiful place. But I have to take away a star because we had a lot of trouble with the restaurant. Upon arriving we triple confirmed our three dinner reservations and had the times written down on a piece of paper for us by the concierge. First night's dinner was at 6. But when we go there it was 6:30 according to their computer. So we had to wait. Odd, why not just let us in? The restaurant wasn't even remotely full. Second dinner was all right

Could not have been more pleased to discover this gem. The gardens were mind blowing and we were able to walk from our room right down to the river to go canoeing. On the river we saw a pair of either Egrets or Herons in the tree and it was joyous. Next visit I am bringing my dog. Doggie heaven. Long distance swimmers were headed upriver with their safety team following by boat. What an experience. Highly recommend the Little River Inn restaurant as well

This is our second stay at Stanford Inn! What an amazing place inside and out. The staff is welcoming and attentive. The grounds are breathtaking. The ravens and all the other fur and feathered friends are delightful. It is so nice to be able to stay at a place that serves all vegan food! They have done their best during the pandemic with the breakfast service but it did take some of the ambience away to have breakfast in to-go containers.
We would definitely recommend Stanford Inn to anyone!!
Thank you to all!
