Our goal is to bring you only the best handmade bake goods out here in beautiful Beacon, NY. It means our bread and pastries are crafted from scratch, using high-quality, locally-sourced ingredients. We craft every loaf and pretzel by hand. All our locally-milled flours are ground from non-GMO unbleached whole wheat, with a high gluten protein level to produce a hearty, chewy interior.
Services
Crafted from white wheat flour, our country white loaves are the perfect combination of light and chewy. The ideal sandwich bread. No longer will the noble whole wheat loaf receive as its only attribute the paltry description "nutritious." Our whole wheat loaf is rustic and hearty, a crackling crust matched with a soft crumb interior that defies such a dubious honorarium.
Need a loaf of our olive bread to take to a dinner party? Want a dozen bagels for the office? Maybe you just want to make sure you get your share of pulled pork empanadas before the farmers' market. Give us a call and we'll be happy to prepare your special order. We ask for a minimum of four days' notice, and payment upon order.

Delicious food! Hours are inconsistent - for some reason on Google maps the opening time is 8am Fridays, but in actuality it's 10am. Not sure if this is true for other days, so may be best to call ahead if you're an early bird. (I tried to change the hours through Google maps, but was unable to do so.)

Drove 45 minutes (each way) to get their chicken pot pies. They had decided not to make them that day - my bad. So I ordered two chicken pot pies for the next day. I was assured they would have them. Drove 45 minutes again the next day. They had already sold my ordered pies to someone else at 2pm! What? Will not be back. Nothing but an oops apology. Btw I would have happily paid in advance, but the server seemed to imply that it was unnecessary or maybe she was just terrible at communication.

Wowzers. Just shoveled half of the most amazing, fullest chicken pot pie into my face!!! It is so delicious, and so full that I need to save some for later. As an appetizer, while heating up my pot pie, I inhaled an amazing apple turnover!!! So happy to have found this jem, and can't wait to go back!!

Wish I took a picture of the pretzel roll before my son ate it lol!! This is a cute little bakery with a friendly staff. My son and I were in the area and decided to check it out because we love carbs yumm! This place has many bread options, pies, and a few baked goods. The pretzel roll was freshly made and is reasonably priced at 3$. If in the area it's worth a visit for some fresh bread!

This place is a small bread shop, but all the breads are of fine quality. The bagels here are surprisingly some of the best in the area, better texture and flavor than the actual bagel shop in town (just limited to traditional toppings, not flavored doughs). They also have bialys which you can't get anywhere else around here. My mother really likes their chicken pot pie, even though she says there is more potato than chicken in it. Great french baguette and the raisin bread toasts beautifully.

I work about a block away from this wonderful establishment and have been coming here consistently for 2 to 3 weeks at least twice a week. EVERY time the food is incredible. The baked goods are super fresh, and would seriously doubt you could find something here you don't like. The pretzels are to die for, turnovers will make your taste buds turnover with delight. The nice lady who works the counter when I go in is super friendly and knows her stuff.

Wow. Customer service is essentially that they act as if they don't really care to actually sell their stuff. They refused to take my credit card because it didn't meet the $10 minimum for cards. I didn't have any cash so my choices were to buy additional things I didn't want or leave. I did the math, it would have cost them 12 cents to take my card as the transaction fee they would pay to the vendor. They lost a sale over 12 cents?? Really??
I might suggest an alternative since I've encountered minimums before from small businesses and I get it. Often in these situations

Wrong, wrong, wrong. This isn't trying to be a typical bake shop. It's small and personal, and that means 1. waiting, and 2. being served by someone who's not particularly efficient, but that person baked your stuff and can speak intelligently about the process.
Let me stop swatting away ignorant reviews and explain, simply, what this is. It's a really good baker making a few capricious things in small quantity. it's like a used book store....you'll never find what you're looking for, but you'll always go away happy if you're open-minded (other reviewers

All you knead is cheesy poofs
We found these folks at the Pleasantville winter's farmers market and couldn't have been more impressed. I got a cheese puff, which is basically an enclosed cheese danish. Wonderfully sweet on the inside (filling) and slightly salty on the inside. I should add at this point that the cheese Danish is the highest form of pastry and is without peer in the world of Danishes. As such, I am a connoisseur of cheese Danishes and know what I'm talking about. Go there, buy a cheesy poof and prepared to be amazed.

The baked goods are true to their roots - whether it's a Parisian baguette, a classic NYC-style bagel or an ethnic empanada; these guys take their wares seriously. Both savory and sweet foodstuffs are worth the buy, and the honest-to-goodness prices can't be beat.
