Highly recommend the Winery Tour with Bruce. We learned a lot about the winemaking process and enjoyed going behind the scenes to see the stamping of the recently harvested grapes and tasting from the vats and barrels as well as from the amazing finished bottles. Tasting room and shop were cozy with beautiful quilts displayed on the walls. Staff were all friendly and we were greeting by the sweetest dogs. Will definitely be back.

My wife and I lived at Lake Monticello for a few years and stumbled across this winery. While there are many wineries to choose from in the Charlottesville "area", this one is our favorite. Maybe it's because we got engaged here? Maybe it's because their staff is super friendly and helpful? Maybe it's because their outdoor area is large enough for a group yet small enough for an intimate evening? Yes, all those things! Nothing beats coming to CC in the spring/fall on a week night and enjoying a bottle of red while embracing the quiet. I wish we were there now! Any time we're in town, we stop by

Bill and I had a wonderful stay at Cunningham Creek Winery! It is a beautiful facility inside and out. We did a wine tasting of 4 reds and 4 whites which were all quite good! The night we stayed a local community theater was putting on a production, so we took advantage of that and had a great time! Check them out. You will not be disappointed!

Went to visit the MIL in Virginia and notched out some time to check out the local wineries. Well, Cunningham was the last on our list and let's just say we saved the best. I was extremely impressed with not only the down home comfort but the whole operation they have created there really making them comparable to the top-bot wineries I have experienced at home in Napa & Paso Robles. Hubby and I have decided to sign up for wine club becuase the wine was amazing and who doesn't want to support businesses that deserve it? Can't wait to come back for live music Saturday's

Had an extremely personal and top notch experience at this winery. I have was visiting my MIL from California and have been to wineries in my home state of CA in Napa and Paso Robles and have never had such great service and been able to personally meet the winemaker. What a fantastic visit we all had. Also the fact that they were pet friendly was great as well!! I would highly recommend to locals and visitors. You are in for a treat!! Also can’t wait to join wine club seems fantastic and who doesn’t want to support local these days?!

Make Cunningham Creek Winery your road-trip destination for a delightful experience in the best of Central VA wines! My husband and I escape every month (pre-COVID19) on a quest to try all 300+ #VAWineries. This was our first road trip since being fully vaccinated and although Charlottesville's weather proved to be a little gray, we were jolted back to our good-time feeling after our visit to Cunningham. Wonderful time on our first visit to Cunningham Creek. Despite the limits of Covid, the staff was wonderful, the setting delightful, and our experience, one that will have us coming back again and again. We also enjoyed the new friendship from Corky and. We decided to try the white and red flights from the day, and my wife Julianne and I both came to the conclusion that we needed to take home a bottle of Merlot and Petite Verdot! Tonight, we toast with 2 glasses of red from Cunningham Creek! - The Wordens

What a great place! We stopped by while visiting the area from out of town. Some highlights are the scenery, kind staff, clean environment, delicious wines and fun pups that walk around the property. Love that they have a dog park area too! We decided to bring some bbq to enjoy with our wine. I love how the wine list has a "best paired with" blurb so you know what foods to enjoy with the wine. We appreciated how they respected space and comfort levels during covid. There was tons of space between groups, masks worn by everyone and a short questionnaire upon entrance to ensure safety.

CCW has been consistently one of my favorite wineries in VA. Since I first visited (back when they first opened in 2016) the wine has been superb. Bruce and Debby, are the most gracious and knowledgeable owners, they are eager to share their story and how they make their wine. If you enjoy French varietals, then you have found Nirvana.
The inside is cozy, spacious and have individual tables to relax, enjoy some wine and provide varieties of cheeses and meats to make your own charcuterie. The fireplace is the best, with nice leather seating to cozy up with your favorite wine. I really like the

Cunningham Creek is practically in our backyard and one of our favorite places. They have a massive deck with plenty of shade and seating, Adirondack chairs grouped around fire pits, and beautiful tasting bars. The atmosphere is laid back. The owners are absolutely lovely and the wine is tasty. They have two winery pups who love attention and play well with other dogs. My top three wines are the Meritage, Herd Dog Red, and Viognier. Check this place out. You won't be

My husband and I have been wine club members at Cunningham Creek Winery for several years now and have always enjoyed spending time there. We made a reservation and visited there this past weekend. They did a great job adhering to the Covid-19 guidelines. I felt perfectly safe and enjoyed our afternoon relaxing, sipping wine and feeling normal! Check it out! And also check out the Cycle 76 wine. It's our favorite!

What a welcoming warm vibe at this winery off the beaten path! We were greeted and led to a tasting bar. They have several small bars set up so you have a more personal wine tasting experience. And I was elated to see they had purse hooks! Purse hooks are an underrated perk!!
Our wine steward was not only knowledgeable, but poured the samplings at an even, comfortable pace. I really enjoyed the Virginia rosé which I bought, as well as a bottle of the Petit Manseng dessert wine. I'm typically not a fan of port wine, but this one was more fruity as not as sweet as most I've tried

My husband and I stopped in Saturday afternoon and were welcomed by the owner Debbie and their new addition Crush. Everything was wonderful. The tasting, their story, and the place is so relaxing. Now that we are members of the club we look forward to many more days on the deck sipping wonderful wine and enjoying the beautiful view!!

Liked the setting, wines, music (by Sh'Boom), and Debby the proprietor (with husband Bruce). Stayed at their excellent AirBnB cottage 2 driveways down for a triathlon at Lake Monticello (Lake M is say 15 minutes from the vineyard), and stopped by the winery Saturday at around 7 pm for some wine and a chat. The room for socializing has a fireplace with an excellent Persian carpet, plus lots of art and a quilt on the wall. People can bring in their own food or buy food on the way in from Local Eats (hot restaurant in Cunningham VA). Live music was from Sh'Boom! (one man band with extensive

This is a gem of a winery, and our favorite during our 14 person wine tour.
Why it is so great:
- Snicker and Doodle - the wine dogs!
- Clean, modern, and so much stuff going on!
- The space, scenic in the backdrop of a blue sky!
- The staff, some of the friendliest and most fun people ever (great at cracking jokes and returning jokes). They put up with us somehow
- It is still relatively new so it isn't that hard to get a large group reservation
- The wine isn't Sonoma great but it is Charlottesville awesome (C'ville just keeps on getting better though)
- It is relatively not

Definitely a place to check out if you are in the Fluvanna area. They have absolutely wonderful outdoor and indoor spaces that can be intimate or accommodating for large parties! We participated in a wine tasting, which included 8 different wines, both red and white and one rose. You then can pick a glass or if you fell in love grab a bottle and grab a seat inside and listen to the music or grab a seat on their patio, picnic tables or Adirondack chairs they have outside. They are okay with you bringing outdoor food, we packed picnic snacks while we enjoyed our wine on the patio.

Beand new winery near Palmyra, VA. The drive here is beautiful so even though it's remote you will not mind. The facilities are very nice and clean. Everything you need is on premises. Like other wineries, the food available is limited to cheese, bread, and cold cuts. BUT, a taco truck makes a visit to the winery and the tacos are delicious! The staff was very nice and passionate about their wines. My favorite were the Meritage and their own blend named Rivanna Red. They also have tasty white wines. To top it off, they have live music! Enjoy views of the vineyards, tacos, live music

Just discovered this little gem right down the road from my house. Highly recommend everyone check it out! Excellent wines, relaxing and laid back atmosphere to hang out in. The owners have done a really great job with the place and you definitely know they pour their heart and soul into it! They tell me they plan to continue the live music Friday night thing throughout the year. I've been to many vineyards in the surrounding area and this is by far my favorite! Most definitely worth a visit. The wines are off the hook!

Cunningham Creek is a rarity; a working farm and farm market (locally sourced everything) PLUS a friendly, welcoming winery and tasting room. Try them all, but don't be surprised if you return for the rose or the "Cycle 76" Pinot Gris, named for a scenic bicycling route hereabouts.
