What is there not to love about this hidden gem? The pastries are all made by the establishment, the expresso beverages are world class, and not only do they have scrumptious eggs, crepes, and sandwiches, but they also have gluten free crepes and baked good options as well. Relaxing music, many outdoor tables, sunny location and helpful staff. Every time I'm driving through Carlsbad so make it a point to stop and have a restful delectable meal.

Very French menu. They are doing well at staying with the French theme (no French burritos or anything). Even the waters in the fridge are quasi French (La Croix).
Good music.
Having the staff in more formal Parisienne garb would add value.
Tough to find good help but I can't fault the owners for not wanting to work it all the time. I'm sure they kill it at the counter. The cost of owning your own business is you have to trust someone.
I had a crepe and it was delightful as was my americano.
A little hiccup with my order but the Cali Girl at the counter (11/4/21 2:30

Authentic French pastry items - even canale (sometimes). Everything is fresh, made to order. Premises are immaculate, service is friendly. My Omelette was light, not greasy and came with a small green salad with mustard dressing. The crepe dishes are very generous. I have ordered whole quiche for a brunch at home that was wonderful. This is my go-to place when I want to meet a friend for a bite, a great cup of coffee and feel we can take our time and not be rushed.

This place was amazing! As someone who needs to eat gluten-free I'm always on the lookout for new places. And I love crepes!
If you ask them they will use the batter for the savory crepes for any of them. You just have to let them know (savory batter is different from what they use for the sweet crepes).
My friend and I split la Jambon Fromage CrĂŞpe, and la Fruit Rouge CrĂŞpe - both were excellent. I ordered the Noir and she ordered the Praline coffee, of the two I enjoyed Le Noir more. I appreciated the richer chocolate hazelnut flavors.
All around, yum!

Hi I'm 14 and pretty picky so here's my review:
Wanted to get a late breakfast here. sat outside and then went in to order. it was 11 so the store was empty. ordered food (cashier was very distracted while taking order and kept leaving while we were trying to order) half of our food came out. i got the breakfast crepe without tomatoes, it was great!! the coffee was yum too. BUT we waited 30 minutes for the rest of our food and then the cashier came out and said she forgot.... finally got our other three crepes which were decent but would not come back here.

The only reason why this is two stars instead of one is because every other time I have come here it's been great food. The correct order and the staff have been nice. This time was a complete 180. I waited around 30 minutes for food that was incorrect and was sloppy and hap hazard. I ordered a small black coffee and a veggie breakfast crepe (my usual). Normally it's great and walked out by the gentleman who is cooking and wearing the red Chef attire and he's always so pleasant. This time I was handed a veggie breakfast sandwich I didn't order and paid for more and still waited

This is such a cute place! Serene and very such nice people and atmosphere. I ordered a mocha and a crepe... simply yummy! Again, such an amazing place to relax and chat with your friends. They have a wide variety of baked goods as well. Seems like you can't go wrong with anything from this place...

I drove almost 11 miles to try this restaurant/bakery. It was NOT busy - and I ordered the Nicoise salad ... and sat down, with my number.
The place is nice - with red and white decor - and there were 2 tables with a total of 4 people, and me at a separate table.
And I waited.
A few people came in and left with orders and drinks, and one couple ordered and sat outside.
And I waited.
Then the outside couple got their sandwiches - the inside table got their order, the second table got their dessert.
And I waited.
I thought 30 minutes was long enough ... to be sitting without anyone to wonder

This is a joint review of the Carlsbad Village location and the Encinitas location. The menus appear to be identical -- but the Carlsbad location has extensive indoor seating. The picture I posted is from Carlsbad.
It came about that we came to Carlsbad for morning coffees and pastries (croissant, almond croissant, cappuccino, Americano) and were so happy with them we decided to hit the Encinitas location on the way home for lunch after going to The Flower Fields. At Encinitas we had three crepes, a savory one for each of us (Provence, Caprese) and a sweet strawberry one to share. The savories

The location is great, but the service, food, cleanliness and quality was really bad. We got a ham & cheese sandwich which was really bland and had a pickle in it (usually you don't warm up a pickle?); two quiche plates each with a side salad, but the quiche was so bland that both flavors tasted the exact same (one was mushroom, one was ham & cheese)... also one quiche was a huge slice and the other plate was a really slim.
More than half the tables were not cleared of plates even though there were four employees behind the counter. The lady who took our order was also not very well

A cute French café inspired store that literally is at the corner of a street. French music plays indoor and the site is open for dine-in and to-go. Masks are required to go in, but you can take it off once seated and dining. They function by having you order up front and then they will bring the food/drink out to you.
In total, we ordered to-go their crepes, French toast, and a chocolate croissant. They heated the chocolate croissant right before the order was made so it was still warm when I went back to the hotel. I had the savory crepe (La Jambon) and not sure if it was on purpose, but they

Great place to hang out, food not bad.
Customer service needs a bit of improvement but I think they are trying their best. Suggestions or constructive criticism, if your job is to make coffee please, please make sure the lid is securely tight on the cup so you'll not accidentally burn your customers, and please don't make any lame excuse, just apologize and move on.

Incredible. Amazing. Divine. The French corner makes me want to learn French!
The food is just perfection. I've had coffees, sweet and savory crepes and all the pastries and everything is so good that I forget to take a picture most of the time. Get in my belly!
Today is had the vegetarian crepe (I'm not a veg person but it sounded good today). The crepe exceeded all my expectations. The avo and tomato in it made it sweet and creamy. My boo had the turkey pesto panini and I taxed a bite which was delish.
For dessert we tried the beignet bite (filled with hazelnut spread) and the almond
