One of the better Filipino restaurants/bakeries we've been to. Everything we've had has been good, particularly their breakfast items. Their ensaymada is the best we've tried so far and their pandesal is also great. The pandesal is more similar to what we've had from the Philippines, maybe no eggs or something like that. They have my all time favorite Cheese Rolls! They come in a 6-pack and have the perfect balance of flavors and cream cheese filling.
I have tried a few other baked items here, but nothing compares to the delicious cheese rolls when heated in a toaster oven.
I will definitely have to try their hot items when I stop by.

I drove an hour from Alhambra to this lovely moms and pops family owned bakery.
Their ube cheesecake it's so good and not too sweet if you are a big fan of ube can't miss it

One of my family's go to spot growing up! Really nostalgic place for me and my family. I most recently went to pick up a lumpia party tray and grabbed some of their baked items too. I had to get their ensaymada, it's my favorite! I also tried a slice of their ube cheesecake (my first time have this) and it was delicious! The staff is friendly and always willing to help you find whatever you need and make recommendations for any cravings! Stop by if you haven't yet!

First time we tried their food at a birthday party. It was so delicious we had to go for ourselves at a later time. We ordered pick up and drove the 30min drive just to find out they “didn’t see the order” and had us wait an additional 25-30 min to make our order. We tried to eat the pancit but kept getting some tome of paper in several bites. This place is terrible!

This an update to my review! I made a huge catering order for my baby shower and not only was the lumpia & pancit miki bihon a hit, the mango cheesecake, turon, & flan was a major hit! Everyone went to get seconds and thirds! My only regret was that I didn't order more. They were on time to my delivery!

This will be my updated review after trying more things here. I recently got a 2 dish combo along with my friend and we were highly disappointed. I dont know the names of the dishes. But we both got 2 different menu items. And for me everything was just ok or eh. Pretty sad since I couldve went to tasty goody for a better option especially considering the price. And also their fried rice was bland which is pretty sad. They'll get 3 stars for a select few bakery items and egg rolls. Other than that, I would only come here for snacks. Not to eat.

Awesome place to get Filipino food. It has a very small and tight parking lot so we ended up parking on the street. I ended up buying a slice of Ube ice cream cake which my daughter and SIL loved, pandesal (sweet rolls), and chicharrones (so good and fresh)!

My mom wanted to check this place out after getting my new tires for my car from a warehouse nearby. So we thought there would be seating available since they do sell hot food items, but when we got inside they only had takeout available for those foods.

We stuck with getting some of the baked goods and desserts they had available, which included pan de sal, Sans Rival, turon, white chocolate walnut ube cookie, empanada, and some other items that my mom grabbed.

The empanada was definitely the odd one out of the bunch we got since it tasted more like a hand pot pie then the typical empanadas

This ube cheese pandesal is so good!!! Can’t stop eating these things.
Update: They created the best ice cream sandwich. This is a must try!!!

How it tasted:
- I absolutely enjoyed the red bean (siopao mongo) buns as they were the perfect sweetness for me. The lumpia was delightful as well, and had the delicious spicy/sweet sauce included. The hopia mongo were flaky, sweet, and scrumptious. Lastly, the white chocolate ube walnut cookie was splendid.

Cannot recommend enough, great product and great people.

Parking is scarce. Had to park at a residential area. Cake I bought wasn't as palatable like I thought it would be for my taste buds. I had a good customer service experience. However it's good to try other filipino bakeries as a food critic to rate them first hand.

Recently came back from Hawai'i where i tried cheese ube pandesal for the first time. my life changed after having these and i was determined to find some cheese ube pandesal in my area.

Gemmae came up, which is a bit of a drive for me but i really wanted to find some. i was surprised to see that most of their pastry items are all packaged. i thought they would be out on display like how donut shops do. they're spread out in different areas of the shop, so you can pick out what you want yourself.

Absolutely the most delicious cuisine I've ever had. If your craving Panda Express or Chinese Food opt to come here and try this amazing Pilipino food instead. It's so authentic and deliciously made by an amazing family. There's nothing you won't like. Even if you don't have a culture palate. I learned this may be my new favorite cuisine after going here!

Don't hold back here you wont find many places like this! Everything is good, I try something new every time.

Food is ok, not bad.
Con is their customer service. No one ever seems to answer the phone. I've been calling for 50 mins continuously to complete my pick up order and no one is answering the phone. Poor customer service. So I always end up getting food elsewhere

4 stars for convenience & customer service. Gemmae is right near work for me in Long Beach and they had just what I needed, Pandesal. All kinds of Pandesal from regular to wheat to mini and they even had the usual condiments from cheese-wiz to corned beef! I also happened to grab a Halo Halo with ube ice cream from here as well which was made for me in no time. Thanks Gemmae for serving Filipino goods to the Long Beach community.

The dessert we got was good. Its clean. The only negative thing i can say is when I went the store was empty and 3 employees standing around doing nothing really, not one of them greated me at all or asked me if I needed any help.

Ordered 50 lumpia for $26. I easily placed an order online 2 nights in advanced. Paid online. Picked up in person. Minimal line and wait. The order came with plenty of sauce. It was packaged very well.. in a sturdy box so it was easy to carry. Wish I had taken a photo but we started eating them too quick! Absolutely perfect for my friends baby shower.

Hello everyone I first encountered Gemmae Bakery back when I lived in San Diego. Now I currently reside in Orange County. Finally made it to the one in Long Beach near the 710 freeway. Picked up the pre ordered online and gave the food to my family. My family and I are the food at home so appealing and full filling. The pancit and taron was so delicious with its sweet and stickiness.
We recommend this establishment to new patrons and returning Customers.

After having their lumpia's and pancit at a friends birthday party, I was hooked! I ordered a batch of 25 for $12 and had them all day long with the boyfriend watching the game. I also grabbed some baked goods and a tub of Chicharrones. Make sure you order ahead by calling. I didn't trust the online order because the opening time isn't always correct.
I'll have to go back and try their selection of hot foods. Looks like legit homemade Filipino food.

Some of the best bread rolls I've ever had. Always a treat even for a routine supply run.

Love this place! Have been going here for years. These are probably the BEST lumpias I have ever had. They also have pan size for parties as well. We can order and pick up the next day.
