SO I'M TRYING TO CUT DOWN ON MY "SWEETS"....AS YOU CAN SEE IT'S GOING "REALLY WELL".... 😆 I bought two heroes cakes :)

At my friend's wedding, each guest was able to pick one of these small cakes to eat for dessert. There was black forest, strawberry shortcake, tiramisu, and I think French Bavarian. They were so cute and nicely decorated.

I chose the black forest, since I love anything chocolate. These cakes were delectable, not too sweet, and pretty moist. I liked having my own individual cake instead of having a sliced one because you also get the right amount of frosting as well.

I just want to share my review so that others don't have this experience. It was my daughters birthday and it has been a tough year. She wanted a two tier cake. Their 8 inch cakes are about $40 and a 6 inch about $35-38. I assumed the simple cake we requested (just red frosting) would t be too difficult or expensive, WRONG. they charged me $150 for a wedding cake. Plus it was sloppy. See pictures of the board it was on, the white frosting slopped on the back, the sloppy details (and there were hardly any details. I could have bought the cakes separately and just put one on top of

Im being nice w/ the one star. Their cakes are overpriced & if you need to cancel an order, refunds are not issued. So disappointing & their cakes aren't that great.

They were so easy to work with and offered excellent customer service over the phone, even if ordering a custom cake with design via phone can be complicated with our specific requests. The price was reasonable, and best of all, the cake was delicious! I'm glad I went with the Swiss Black Forest cake with whipped cream topping. Our guests loved it. Just browse through their photos to see their work. They really can work with anything and nice to deal with.

The carrot cake ordered for my sister’s birthday turned out to be beautiful and it tasted delicious. The lady who handled the customer service is friendly and courteous. Will be back to try their pastries

Cake designs are great! That's just about it for the positives. The customer service needs an extreme makeover. I am not a fan of having to go out of character to express to someone that I didn't like the preparation for a product and the potential cleanliness concerns that are present within this bakery. The refund policy is horrendous. If you don't like the product, do not expect a refund because they do not offer one, primarily because "they worked on the cake." This isn't a sufficient enough answer for a paying customer, especially when there are issues with the product.

Just recently I ordered a cake for my daughter, it turned out amazing! The cake turned out exactly how I asked & it was delicious!

I have been ordering from this bakery for the pass 5 years, I live in Chula Vista and I drive to there location because of how amazing there cakes are. At every party people always compliment that cake and people ask to take some home. By far the best cake and they can make anything.

Really good selection of a variety of goodies, not just cake. I bought the goodies, for a birthday party. Prices on the high side because I paid individual prices but happy with the purchase. The clerk was very helpful and friendly. She deserves a "5"!

Ironically located right across from a 24hr Fitness, I don't know how the physically active folks coming out of the fitness center not binge eat on bakery items!!

This place is very good. Able to place an order and have the cake (strawberry - which I originally saw on another Yelper's review) made for my wife's birthday.

My cake person cancelled at 11:30 AM (even though delivery was at 12) and I called It's A Piece A Cake at 11:30 desperate for anything!

The lady who answered the phone had such a calming voice and helped me order something right away. Told her it was a gender reveal but no need for colors inside- bee themed and ready as soon as possible.

Their cakes are so good! They have all kinds of baked goods too not just cake. Got a Boston Cream Pie today. Yummmmmm!!! Super nice family owned business. Go support them and get yourself a slice or cookie or whole cake for your next event!

I showed a picture of a two tier cake but asked to only get small one tier with similar design! They were so patient, friendly, and professional! The cake looks amazing for my son's first birthday and even better than I have imagined it! Thank you for making this special day extra special! Oh and the cake was delicious! I will be ordering all cakes from them!

They really do have the most delicious cakes and pastries. One of my favorites is their coffee/crumb cakes and they come in various flavors. I truly recommend them and the staff/bakers are wonderful nice people.

Great cakes! So much better than what you get from supermarket bakeries. This is our go to place for birthday parties, anniversaries and any other occasion we can think of to eat cake.

My last few trips here have been so negative this will definitely be the last. They aren't allowing customers inside due to Covid. However it took a while for someone to respond when I rang the bell. What I wanted to order on this day were cookies pastries, or whatever they had. Since you aren't permitted inside you can't see what they have. The gentleman who finally arrived pretty much told me they were known for the cakes. He seemed to be too busy so I ended up leaving empty handed. I used to buy cakes and pastries here for years but service has gone down with the new owners

What a gem. It's a Piece of Cake is a community staple where they have a wide variety of cakes, cookies, cupcakes, and other baked goods. It's a small family run business that survives on great taste, reasonable prices and being apart of the community. The owner makes time to talk with the customers and is just an all around nice person.

This place is phenomenal. From start to finish, they made my experience so easy. I'm originally from Florida and was visiting for my sisters 40th birthday. I called a few places around and they weren't helpful. The first call I made here, the woman was so nice and helpful giving me all the information that I needed. They were so accommodating and their prices are very reasonable. They did exactly what I envisioned and I couldn't be happier. The birthday girl loved her cake and it was delicious. We got chocolate cake with Bavarian cream. It was huge and not super sweet, just perfect

I've been getting my students' birthday cakes from It's A Piece A Cake for more than two decades. Once got a French Bavarian cake for a staff meeting. First time we had no left over cake to store until Friday when it would be thrown away.
The prices are higher, because the quality is. And no food goes to waste, because it all gets eaten.
Have to confess: the dinosaur decorations are mine; they haven't bought new toppers since the pandemic began.
