Thank you for your interest in Footwear etc. Our headquarters is located in San Diego, California, and we're now celebrating over 30 years of great customer service. We're a family run business, which started as one store, but has grown to 11 locations along with our online store. Simply stated, we're old fashioned when it comes to the way we treat our customers.
The Birkenstock hard and soft footbeds are made of resilient cork and latex and shaped to create a healthy walking environment for your feet. I have been wearing the same brand of flats for many years, but my partner convinced me to look into something with better support. We were helped by Kevin who was just wonderful. Visited the store today for some supportive slip-on shoes. Aaron did a great job of identifying possibilities and fitting me. He knows the brands they carry well and could say "this might work but it generally runs wide", etc. I had picked out one style from the rack and he came out with that one plus two more great possibilities. I also needed new Superfeet inserts, and he cut them to the right size for my new shoes.

The best customer service ever! Christine was super helpful and made great recommendations for my troubled feet. Highly recommended for anyone who thinks there is something wrong with all shoes in regular stores. It's not the shoes it's just our feet are different. I have numerous issues with my feet and it is very difficult for me to find shoes that i can wear. recently i returned to footwear inc. on lincoln ave. the staff was wonderful - robert and christina were helpful and friendly. mireya, however, was a super! patient, helpful, professional, personal, skilled...

I came in to buy a new pair of walking shoes. I have problem feet and my usual shoe that I buy was discontinued. I was worried about finding a new shoe that would work for me. I was waited on by Christine. She was lovely, such a nice, warm, friendly person. But she also knows all about shoes. She brought out many pairs of different sizes and styles. I ended up with a pair of HOKA shoes and a new pair of inserts. So far they seem very comfy and I really like the inserts she recommended. It was such a pleasant experience. This is my new favorite shoe store. They also have the cutest socks ever. I

Mireya was really helpful in getting me new Birkenstock inserts to replace my old and destroyed Superfeet inserts. First she checked how I was putting pressure on my bunion and my arch supports in general, then made recommendations on what would be best. Already these are making a huge difference. I decided right there to get my wife a set as well. I think this will help her lower back issues.

My temperature was taken before allowed to enter with a mask during Covid-19. Was then greeted by Christine M who proved to be very knowledgeable and patient. She was able to offer great suggestions for me as I am very particular about comfortable and quality shoes without the old-lady look. After devoting a great deal of time assisting me, I eventually purchased two pairs of the same shoe in different colors. I am very happy with the cleanliness of the store, the friendliness of the staff, and the Rewards and catalog coupons to bring the total price down.

Aaron took care of me while I was there, giving comments about the different shoes I was looking at and suggesting ones that would be good for my condition (was referred by a doctor for orthodics and shoes with arch support.) He helped me with more than what I originally came in about, and was attentive and communicated with me through the entire experience. Really appreciated it!

Yesterday, I found what I wanted online but did not get the discount, so I called the store, they verified the discount, had all 3 pairs in stock ,or could get them, free delivery in 3 days!!!! amazing! The gentleman who helped me, was kind , patient...I changed my mind on one color., and helpful. Have always loved this store and the folks that work there. Now in Covid, I am delighted to find I can get my shoes this way, and get my discount... perfect!

This has been my go to shoe store but even here more shoes are Made In China. No matter who the company brand, the quality is not as good but still again charging Made In USA prices which I am happy to pay that but not for a lesser quality shoe from the same used to be made in Spain or Italy or Israel. So sad. Maybe I should go there to buy my shoes.

Same setup as other shoe stores for selection on orthopedic shoes. I saw some birkenstocks that I wanted, but they didn't have my size and offered to ship for free. I normally need to try on this brand, so I didn't accept the offer.
The shoes seemed pricey, but could also be found at some major dept stores, which would be closer to me in location.
They have an awesome sock collection so if you like themed or colorful socks, they've got them.

I walked out of this place, a new woman! They helped me find the right shoes and sole inserts that my feet needed. I was able to get help as soon as I walked in the shop and all the staff were friendly but straight to the point. I had mentioned to the salesperson that I had seen a doctor about my footaches and they gave me $10 off my purchase upon check out. Really happy I want to this place.
