Vision Art Eye Care is a premier state of the art eye care facility in Naperville, IL, conveniently located in Springbrook Square located off IL Route 59 and Montgomery Ave (83rd Street). Patients are assured by our courteous and welcoming staff of the care and concern they will receive when visiting our office for routine eye examinations, or for any type of eye care concern.
Naperville is home by choice for Paula S. Mintchell, O.D. Originally from Sidney, Ohio, Dr. Mintchell received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Heidelberg University, located in Tiffin, Ohio. She completed her Doctorate in Optometry and Post-Doctoral Residency in Pediatrics and Binocular Vision at the prestigious Illinois College of Optometry, located in Chicago, IL.
As our office manager, Nataly is an integral part of our practice. She has a vital role in helping to assist you with any of your questions at Vision Art Eye Care, as she is an experienced Optician and in Medical Billing since 2013. Nataly is also strongly suited in the optical department helping with the fitting and selection of the prefect frame and lens options that better fits your daily life style.
Primary eye care includes a comprehensive vision and eye health examination. This examination is designed to detect a wide range of problems affecting vision function, such as blurred vision or eye discomfort. Evaluations for eye health disorders are also performed. The American Optometric Association recommends that all people should have a periodic, comprehensive eye examination every one to two years depending on one's particular needs.
Vision Therapy is a type of Physical Therapy. Like other forms of physical therapy, with vision therapy, optimum results require much more than visual acuity or binocular eye muscle control. Vision therapy integrates visual acuity and binocular function plus detailed brain function activities that collectively control thousands of components of our entire body's coordinated actions.

My husband me went for check up 2 weeks before and doctor prescribed some medicine. There is absolutely no direction and no clear communication between doctor and pharmacy. Doctor prescribed for some medicine and giving up coupons for different medicine and from past 2 weeks we are just doing this. And still not able to get medicine.
The issue was rectified very effectively by the doctor itself. This shows how much doctor care for her patients. Very impressed.

During my eye exam Dr. Mintchell recommended a new contact brand for me to try. Before I ordered any she gave me a complimentary set to wear for 2 weeks. After the 2 weeks she saw me again, no charge, to make sure I didn't have any issues. Her receptionist then helped me figure out what supply (6 month or 1 year) would work out best with my budget and my insurance. I ended up getting 6 months of contacts for $3!!! I can't say enough good things about this office! They are really good people who deserve your business.

Dr. Mintchell is everything you expect from a doctor. She establishes a rapport with her patient; performs a thorough exam; and ensures that your glasses are not just the correct prescription, but that the frames are appropriate for you and fit you. Furthermore, her staff is professional and pleasant. They spend the time with you that is necessary to ensure a quality exam and they are happy to help guide you through the insurance maze. Overall, it was fantastic first experience. I will not only return to Dr. Mintchell's office, but I will also recommend her to family and friends.

Dr. Mintchell is amazing! I stopped by Vision Eye Art to pick out perception sunglasses and Dr. Mintchell noticed how red and irritated my eyes were from my allergies. She made time to see me that day and within minutes my eyes that had been burning and itching for days felt so much better and within 24 hours they were nice and clear! I never thought about going to the eye doctor for my allergies but from now on it will be my first stop!
