This was an unexpected find in the middle of downtown Asheville! I always love a good bun, and they do it well. I would not say this is your traditional pork belly bun. They did a great job jazzing it up with tons of flavor and bite. The only slight knock I will give is that the portion is on the smaller size for what you are paying. It is about ~$9 for one bun, but it is definitely worth it for a snack. Pro tip grab a beer from Highland to pair with the food here! Definitely goes well together.

I was already super full but decided to try the Iced Thai Tea. I wasn't sure how it would be without boba because I've only ever had Thai tea with boba, but WOW this was the best Thai tea I had ever tasted. Just the right amount of sweetness and had a great flavor. Great and fast service as well. Thanks, Bun Intended!

Spicy curry bowl has some serious kick. Salapao for two was a perfect size to share.

Underwhelmed by the pork Bao, lacking on flavor and texture. Thai coffee was really good though.

I have never before had bao and I fear this place has ruined me forever. Please open a place in Philadelphia!

Had a grilled chicken Bao. I love Baos and this is the best one I ever had. I The chicken was very flavorful and the topping were some of the best. Can't wait to try their other fare.

I highly recommend stopping here if you live or are visiting Asheville. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, delicious Thai food, and a cool location. It’s a straightforward menu and the staff is helpful if you don’t know Thai dishes very well. Although I eat Thai frequently, my friend who visited with me doesn’t and found the menu to be very accessible. I heard about them through lifelong friends so they knew better than to make a bad recommendation… they didn’t disappoint!

I love this place. Every time I come back I try something new and I’m never disappointed. Their pork belly bao is so crispy and juicy and it melts in your mouth. Whenever we have vegan or vegetarian guests we bring them here because their veggie options are bomb too. Love their fresh veggie spring rolls!

Stopped by the other day and absolutely loved the Pork Belly Bao & Pad See Ew. You can tell the team at Bun Intended love one another and this goes right into the love they have for making their food. Hands down the best Thai food you'll find in Asheville. Highly recommended

The food truck has found a home! Brand new to the S&W Market on Patton Street, they're still serving their yummy curry and steamed buns. I can see this as a regular stop for me, especially when they have daily specials like curry of the day and skewers of the day.
It's good street Thai food and reasonable prices. You just can't go wrong.
Stop by and check them out!
