We went there for a carryout dinner during restaurant week. They forgot one of our entrees (did not charges us, after we contacted them). The rest of the food was ok (bouliabaisse, a salad, a so-so NY strip). Dessert was nothing special. This is the second time we've dined there. First time was indoors. In general it is mediocre, over-priced food. (even at Restaurant week prices). They seem very impressed with themselves but I/we were underwhelmed. Maybe if you were staying in that hotel it would be worth a trip but otherwise I won't be back.

Joey in the lobby bar is one of a kind! He made us feel right at home and was a pleasure to interact with. Eric (security guard) also greeted us when we were checking in and spoke with him for quite awhile it was very humbling, thank you Eric and Joey!
The hotel is really nice and they have a pizza oven, always a win for us, downstairs. Would stay here again.

Went here for brunch with the family. I didn't realize it was going to be brunch but it was fine. We were their last brunch table before they closed to set up for dinner. Not the ideal time to go to a restaurant but there we were.
Our server, TJ, came over immediately. He took our drink order and recommended a couple menu items. When he returned he asked if we wanted some pastries they had. Who turns down pastries?! They were delicious.
We placed our orders and the food came out quickly. Ok, we were the only people there. Let me tell you, it was so good! Everything was fresh and tasty. Our

Let's say the food quality and composition doesn't match the price.
In Asheville we have amazing food options. So when the price is relatively high, over $100 for 2 people, you expect the food and service to be on point.
Well the service was on point. However the food wasn't really anything special. I can think of many different places in Asheville that have better thought out dishes than Bargello at a third of the price.
Now my chief complaint and my number one tip:
The both tables have to be the absolute most uncomfortable setting arrangement humanly possible to create. I think the chef and

We had a wonderful group meal last week at Bargello. The server, Jen was great and had just the right touch. The food was delicious all around… the salad crunchy, fresh and bursting with flavors. I had the crusted pork chop, which was super juicy and tender. We shared desserts and even ordered an extra sticky toffee pudding because we couldn’t stop. Definitely worthwhile and we will be back for sure!

While staying at the attached hotel my wife and I tried to go down to the lobby to get dinner and were immediately punched in the eardrums by a live band whose sound was mixed waaaay too hot. I literally had to yell to her standing next to me for her to hear. We like live music, but was not expecting to be accosted the moment we stepped off the elevator.. We opted to return to the room and order online for room service for this reason
Online order platform is a joke. Dishes include no description, just the dishes name. How am I to know what is on a medditeranian vegetable pizza? Had to look up

We dined Saturday evening. Our waitress, Amanda was excellent. Great suggestions for menu choices.
The mussels were amazing! The sauce and bread were the best! Small problem with burratta being ball of mozzarella instead. Tomatoes delicious with lemon sauce… needs more basalmic drizzle.
Scallops great.. ragu good flavor, less noodles more moisture.
Ice cream sandwich yummy!

We attended an intimate wedding reception in the Bargello wine cellar. It fit the 13 of us perfectly and had a secretive, romantic, dark vibe. Classy backdrop of the wines behind glass and excellent service contributed to a beautiful evening. The five course meal with five wine pairings made the evening seem like a culinary adventure. We loved it!

Amazing restaurant Bargello occupies the northeast corner of the Kimpton Hotel Arras along Broadway Avenue. Restaurant was difficult to locate.
This Mediterranean restaurant did not disappoint. The ambiance was amazing. The noise level was moderate high. The wine selections were absolutely amazing and pleasing to our tastebuds.
Each and ever single dish we ordered was super fresh and delightful. From the Grilled Spanish octopus to the Peo mussels to the CAPPELLINI ALLE VONGOLE were super fresh and tasty.
Hats off the to five gold start team of chefs and staff. They did an excellent

This place was an unexpected gem. I generally assume hotel restaurants will be overpriced for their quality, but this place delivered.
We had the buratta and the carrot salad. Both were perfectly spiced, and the portions easily justified the price. We continued with the cacio e pepe, which was perfectly balanced. Finally the lamb torchon. The lamb was just barely too dry; the spanakorizo was new to me and I found it to be a perfect accompaniment.
I found myself wanting to go back for more, but unfortunately my schedule wouldn't allow it.

Hands down the food is amazing!!! This is as it seems a "higher class" establishment so the prices are reflected as such. It is inside the hotel lobby and across the lobby from the District.... Bar. The environment was great! It was very cozy. Slap in the middle of downtown. The server was kind and knowledgeable but didn't really check on us after we got our food. (For AWHILE). Its a bit presumptuous regarding the food. They would expect that you want it the way they serve it. Again, our food was great. Overall a great experience. My husband had the bourbon flight. It certainly got the job done

This restuarant was in the hotel I stayed at during my trip. I loved the vibe and their menu selection. My friend and I started with the beet, quino and arugula salad, which was so fresh! I got the seasonal fish with farro for main. The best bite of the evening was the buttery cake with raspberry sauce. It was so good I ordered it two nights in a row. Friendly staff as well.

Excellent food and fantastic service from this Kimpton hotel restaurant. For resident guests, they offer room service orders via an app, and it arrives really fast. Main restaurant has more entree offerings, and the bar has a more relaxed menu with pizzas. Breakfast is delicious - don't miss it if you're in the mood for fresh, local ingredients and a delicious pot of coffee. Staff is masked and has solid cleaning and distancing protocols in place. Highly recommended.

My husband took me here for Mother's Day Brunch and it was so excellent. Everyone had something they enjoyed. Plus, staff and management were really patient with us when it was too windy for the kids outside.
The decor is super cute and stylish. It is one of those restaurants where I wouldn't take my young children after early dinner though. You can tell that it's more of an adult gathering place in the evening.

This restaurant is located inside of the Kimpton Hotel Arras. Since we were staying at the hotel - we decided to give it a try and ordered the dish Bucatini Cacio E Pepe with chicken for take out. The pasta itself was overall good and creamy but the chicken was what made this dish so unappetizing... Not sure if it was accidentally burnt but the taste was of some kind of charcoal. I want to give this review 4 stars for the pasta but that chicken hopefully next time we stay here I can explore more of the menu and maybe a different meat choice.

The place was very nice. It was great not to have to leave the hotel. The atmosphere was very pleasant and relaxing. The staff was happy and very accommodating.
There was social distancing. The staff was masked. The service was quick. Everything was hot and delicious. The farmers breakfast was more than enough. Eggs, potatoes, sausage and a biscuit all made fresh.. I also ordered a side of bacon it was cooked to perfection, crispy. That was the spot for breakfast and very moderately priced. See you again soon.

During COVID, the restaurant, inside the Kimpton Hotel, has done a great job of social distancing tables and all the wait staff followed the necessary protocol. Sadly, they weren't really attentive to the tables.
With regards to the food, our table had the Mafaldine Ragu (great flavor, just could have used a little more sauce since the pasta was so robust) and the Rabbit Porchetta with F&S Garganelli (really unique taste, however not quite what I would call a pasta dish. Very small amount of pasta and an overall same dish). For dessert, the Apple and Miso was very unique, and for the

This is a nice spot. It's modern, light, airy and takes social distancing very seriously. It's a great place to go for an evening meal as the fall weather starts to herald a distinct chill in the air.
The service was pleasant and speedy...Angela was everywhere and while it seemed the place was a little short staffed, she managed superlatively.
We ordered drinks, then a Mezze Plate each. This was a wonderful collection of finely prepared veggies and hummus, served with hot pita bread and a local lace gingersnap cracker. It was a great start to the meal.

Bargello has finally opened inside the Arras Hotel.
We went on a Thursday and the place was lively but not too crowded.
It has a beautiful modern decor and is bright and airy.
As appetizers, we ordered the fried romanesco, that came with a tasty
red pesto. That was really excellent. We also ordered the beet salad, with red and golden beets, grapefruit sections and goat cheese. That was good but a little on the common side.
Then we had the cacio e pepe pasta and the meat ragu pasta that I forgot the name. Both were outstanding! house made, perfect texture and perfect seasoning.

Wow! I was fortunate enough to eat a couple of meals at this brand new restaurant last weekend and everything I ate was amazing. The brussels sprouts were the best I had ever had and the romanesco was addictive. One of the standouts for breakfast was the coconut chia porridge. To top all this off, the service was outstanding and the decor was some of the best I've seen in Asheville. It's hard to believe this is a new place because everything was so terrific. Can't wait to go back.
