The Bike Pad has been serving North Jersey's cycling community since 1983. We sell bikes for the entire family from a toddler's bike with training wheels up to competition-level mountain and road bikes. We offer some of the premier cycling brands and we service what we sell. Every bicycle sold comes with a six month warranty that will include a free standard tune-up during this time period.

Whether it's time for a new bike or you just need a gear adjustment, come see us. Serving bikers throughout Bergen and Passaic Counties, we are conveniently located on Lafayette Avenue in Hawthorne (next to the movie theatre) with free parking on premises.

I got there just in time! Business is closing Wednesdays for the summer. Otherwise, good service, Chris knows his stuff. No parking on premises. Street short parking.

I was in dire need of new bike peddles. Even though they were super busy he helped me with purchasing new peddles and put them on for me for a very reasonable price. I will go there for all my biking needs. Highly recommend.

Called to see if they were open. A man answered the phone, said they were open and to "come on in!" Went down there to purchase a bike and they tell me that theyre not selling bikes and only servicing bikes at the moment. Wish they would have told me that on the phone before I made the trip out there. A simple "Yes were open but not selling any bicycles, only doing services at the moment" would have been preferable to the vague "Yes, come on in!"

I searched on their website prior to calling and the website said they do carry Cannondale bicycles. Called the shop and got a cold greeting "Bike shop!".... then I said "I'm wondering if you guys carry Cannondale bicycles?".... "We carry some parts, depending on what you are looking for".... "Uh... I'm looking to see if I can get a quote for a Cannondale bike?"..... "No! Sorry". Then the phone conversation ended. Two stars because the owner may be a knowledgeable bicycle mechanic, the price may be reasonable, and the in-person service could be good. But the phone conversation was unpleasant, attitude

I've been dealing with Chris for a couple of years now. His prices are fair, explains things well and the work is done in a timely manner. Last week he installed a new cassette and chain on my mountain bike. Very happy with his work. Will be back for future repairs.

If you haven't checked Chris out at the Bike Pad, you should because he knows a lot about bikes, has many quality bikes & parts and he loves old school BMX!!!
