What we believe most at Reston Pilates is that "Movement Heals." This belief resonates at the heart of our studio, our programs, classes, and in how we choose our teachers. It is our mission to provide an open, nurturing, highly empathetic and compassionate environment so every student who walks in our doors feels safe and supported in reaching their goals.
A Private Pilates Session is a 50-55 minute one-on-one session where you have your instructor's undivided attention. Sessions are designed to meet your individual needs, goals and level using the mat and Pilates apparatus. A Duet Session is a workout for 2 students. The 50-55 minute session is a great cost effective alternative to a Private session.
When I first started working with Jodi in private sessions, you could color me skeptical. I was already running, lifting weights and taking advanced yoga classes. What could Pilates add to my fitness level? Three years later, I can tell you exactly what it's added -- noticeably better posture and carriage, improved mobility in key joints like shoulders and low back, and no pain when running.
The Pilates Method is a system of over 500 exercises that was developed by Joseph Pilates nearly a century ago. All of the exercises are performed on a simple mat or on specially designed equipment and are done with a focus on the "core" - which includes the muscles of the abdominals, back, pelvis, hips, and shoulders.

Jodi at Reston Pilates is a terrific Pilates instructor! She is very observant and helpful, providing the right balance between improving form and keeping good flow.
I've only recently started at Reston Pilates, but have been practicing Pilates for several years at another studio which recently closed. I'm looking forward to working with Jodi this year; her studio has a great vibe. Parking is easy, and it's also a short walk to Reston Metro.

Reston Pilates and Jodi Rakoff are top notch. Several years ago, I had been looking for a different type of workout. I was getting older and things just hurt. A good friend of mine recommended that I give Pilates a shot. So I stated to research Pilates studios near me. After reading reviews and interviewing different studios I decided to give Jodi and Reston Pilates a shot. She is amazing and so is the studio. A lot of people say they want to help you but Jodi truly means it. She will work tiredly to develop a plan to fix ailment and help you gain the strength you never realized you had. The studio

Jodi is incredible. With extensive experience working with clients of all abilities and experience levels, she has helped countless individuals reach goals, heal ailments, reduce pain, feel and move better, develop strength and self awareness...the list goes on. She cares deeply about every person who walks through her door and puts her clients health and wellness first. I have been going to Reston Pilates for about a year and a half. I am so pleased with the results! I had hip pain in both hips that impaired my ability to walk. I tired easily and walked with a limp. After 6 months of Pilates twice a week, I have no pain and can walk like I did when I was younger.
Jodi is the teacher I use. She has helped me a lot because she started slow with what I could do and I built up strength and flexibility over time. She would also tailor our workouts to how I was feeling that day. She knew what areas needed strengthening and what exercises to recommend.

I took up Pilates several months ago as a way to kickstart a new fitness program. after interviewing several local studios, I did a workout with Jodi. She was patient and thoughtful and I have been working out with her regularly since. She does an excellent job of pushing the workouts, so they are effective while minding form to insure safety and keeping it interesting. Highly recommend.

I am in my late sixties and have a serious disease that is limiting my strength, flexibility and balance, as well as my energy. Jodi has been an extraordinary teacher, helping me to maintain and increase my strength and flexibility, and enabling me to continue to enjoy life. While I really dig yoga and pilates, I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bad. Whoa. I'm a runner and a lover, not a pilates-er.
The crew at Reston Pliates are so super patient and just so awesome...especially with special students like myself.
The studio is clean and has a great vibe...love these folks.
