Services
For all clients I perform fitness assessments and develop progressive, individualized exercise programs based on age, skill-level, health issues, and goals to help them achieve their fitness aspirations and improve their well-being. Beginner - Having a private and serene place with my one-on-one attention is the perfect combination to learn and achieve fitness.
Many of my clients start with no prior knowledge of exercise. My passion is to help you learn to love taking care of your body, become strong, and discover that fitness can be both fun and attainable. The goal is for you to make a lifelong commitment to fitness and health.

Did you know that Weight Training is considered a cardiovascular exercise and therefore has all the same benefits as traditional cardiovascular exercise such as improved sleep, glucose metabolism, cardiovascular efficiency, mood, energy, and even memory?Weight training also has additional benefits compared to traditional cardiovascular exercise.
It is now known that losing the ability to do things on one's own has more to do with inactivity. Exercise helps maintain the things you like to do and therefore keeps you independent. It is important for physical and mental health. It helps prevent falls and improves or prevents osteoporosis. Being physically active and exercising regularly can help prevent or delay many diseases and disabilities, including dementia.
It's important to use training as a vehicle to enhance performance, not just to improve strength. Training will refine your movement skills, body and feet positions, strength, endurance, and power needed for your sport. Most importantly, people participating in their sport once or twice a week and not training their bodies in between are at risk for multiple injuries.
Often insurance discharges people from physical therapy before they are 100% recovered. In fact, insurance can only focus on the injury itself so often times one will discover when they start training the whole body that other muscles are very weak. The focus is on a comprehensive fitness program that includes cardiovascular, flexibility, balance, core stability, and of course resistance training.

I have been working with Rachel for 4.5 years (always with a partner for my sessions) and she has been phenomenal. She is able to adjust workouts based on the needs of each of us while keeping us engaged and supported. I started with her after my second son was born and have trained with her through another pregnancy and beyond. She helped me fix my diastasis recti due to having large babies and I feel so much stronger and more confident. My energy and sleep have improved immensely as well. If you are looking for a kind and compassionate trainer who is extremely knowledgeable, she’s the one!

I’ve trained with Rachel for about a year and a half and it’s been a wonderful experience. She’s extremely knowledgeable in her field and always maintains a positive and professional attitude. Rachel helped me set achievable goals and supported me along the way, even modifying my program when physical limitations impeded my mobility. Through my workouts with Rachel, I became stronger and more toned, working on the goals I had set.
Rachel has a fabulous gym facility, equipped with everything one might need for a complete workout session. It’s enormous, bright and immaculate. Her clients

I started working with Rachel following knee replacement surgery two years ago. Rachel has customized a program to rehab my knee while adding overall strength and flexibility. She truly cares about her clients, listens carefully to any and all of my concerns and knows how to motivate me for the most productive workout. Rachel understands the human body and adds variety by changing the program each month. I have been exercising my entire life but have never achieved results like this before. I highly recommend Rachel for any age or fitness level.

As a physical therapist, I can highly recommend training with Rachel! She is proficient at tailoring a program to the client's individual needs, including adaptations to work around injuries or other physical issues that may limit exercise. The workout area is spacious, and equipment plentiful. Rachel is always encouraging. And, the program you work on changes monthly, so it's impossible to get bored!

I started with Rachel in the fall of 2014 after having foot surgery on both feet in late summer. I couldn’t wear shoes and was still not even really walking all that properly. I was pretty discouraged even though the doctor had been warned of the long recovery. I had some real balance issues. Rachel was so cognizant of the human body and how/why it works the way it does. I believe she really did speed up the very lengthy recovery process..... and let me get back into my much-beloved heels (not that they are good for me) much sooner than I would have otherwise. I hesitate to use the term working

As both an acupuncturist and athlete, I was SO impressed with my first session with Rachel! She is incredibly knowledgable about body mechanics and came up with the perfect exercise plan for me to improve both my running pace as well as strengthen my core and upper body. Our session was the perfect balance of challenging and fun and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to change up their routine and get motivated about their health.

Rachel is definitely tops for helping you "achieve fitness"... at whatever intensity or level that is right for you. I take a semi private with a friend, and she is great at adjusting exercises for our differing skills, strengths and goals. And the workouts she puts us through are so effective! I am amazed at how strong I have become in such a short amount of time, and how that has impacted my self image and confidence. When I started, I couldn't even do a push up, and now I can do 10! The strength training has helped my Yoga, and my endurance as a Massage Therapist. I highly recommend Rachel as

I have been training with Rachel for over three years, and I can honestly say she is the best personal trainer I have ever worked with. Until meeting Rachel, I always found it difficult to stick with a trainer for any period of time - the workouts would become stale and repetitive, or the trainer would flake out at the last moment and cancel, and I'd get off track.
Rachel has made all of those things a distant memory. My workouts are always varied, fun and challenging. She is constantly going to fitness conferences and workshops to learn new techniques and trends which she then builds into my

Rachel is a rare find! She is a personal trainer with solid experience, compassion and caring! She is truly concerned about achieving your personal goals. I have worked out with Rachel 1-2 times per week for the past two years. I started out in what I thought was good shape but I have achieved tremendous improvements in strength and endurance. Every workout is designed to work your whole body. Rachel is so good about changing up the routine to work each muscle group in multiple ways. Every four weeks she creates a completely new workout that is designed around what you are personally trying to
