Vanessa hides reviews that show the truth then blocks the person so they cannot write their review again.
She raises prices once you apply, leaks your personal information and is the least professional human I’ve ever met in my life. I’m leaving it at that so she can’t play victim. If you wanna take the risk, go for it, but you can find a way better company to rent through and they’ll actually email and call you back unlike Vanessa who spends all her time gossiping with friends and responding to negative reviews.

RUN! Never in my life have I experienced less professionalism from a management company and I have lived in New York and Chicago. From their agents not knowing basic information like rent price and utilities, to having extremely poor communication skills, Vanessa makes you jump through hoops in the application process and does not honor rent prices… listed on multiple housing sites. Provide proof of income and they will try to milk you for as much as they can, then reply with a condescending attitude. Don’t let them scam you. They seemingly don’t realize the world is suffering

Hands down the best property management that I've ever rented from. Vanessa and her entire team were super easy to deal with! Even with COVID, they offer virtual tours and online forms. Their properties are so nice and great for USC students like me. I've rented from a lot of landlords in the USC area as I did my undergrad and master's degree there. I couldn't recommend LA's Best Property Management more - out of all the landlords I've dealt with they are simply the best!!

Its impossible to even get a hold of anyone. I think there's probably one person running this show, and she's completely unresponsive. These properties have been sitting there for some time for rent-- now I see why. I can't imagine dealing with them as a tenant. I tried e-mail. Text. Calling. its impossible.

I was walking by an open house and Eventhough i literally expressed my interest about this property to this agent she did not bother herself to show me the unit nor showing interest on myself as an applicant or prospective tenant. Unfortunately there are goods and bads professionals everywhere. I will take my business somewhere else and i would not recommend her company or herself as a real estate agent.

I was a tenant for 2 years with LA's Best, and after leaving LA I wish they were still my landlord. I never had an issue getting in touch with someone when I needed something for my apartment. I still have my maintenance guy's number in my phone and Jose's number as well. Originally I found a few apartments online and I actually applied to 3… different properties with one application and one fee. I was actually sad to leave my home in LA and everyone I knew at LA's Best texted their best wishes after I informed them I had to move for work. My current landlord pales in comparison! Thanks

I rented from LA's Best as a grad student and USC. When I first started my search most of the buildings near campus were older buildings, they weren't exactly what I pictured for my stay in sunny SoCal. Jose showed me a few properties that were a little bit further from school that were AMAZING. I have to spend an extra 5 minutes walking to campus,… but that short walk gave me a beautiful brand new unit. Vanessa got me squared away with an application and lease and I was in the unit in about a week. I haven't had any issues and the company has been easy to work with at every step! I plan

I've been dealing with LA's Best Property Management for about 7 years now, and have been pleased with the experience.
Jose, Anastasia, and Vanessa have always been responsive to issues with the apartment when they've come up, and have always scheduled repairs with the urgency required.
The only complaint I have is that they have no weekend/evening drop box for rent checks. I've setup auto bill pay from my bank account, so it's not a huge problem, but definitely something expected from a property management company in 2018.

Had a horrible experience with them as my management company while living in an apartment in Santa Monica. Timely for maintenance but that was it. Didn't follow through with upgrades they promised upon move in. We're often hard to get in touch with. Unreasonable when it came to scheduling inspections. And upon move out, charged three times the going rate to put cheap paint on the interior. Wouldn't recommend to a tenant or building owner.

I've been a tenant with LA Property Mgmt for many years and I've never had any issues. Every repair request has been handled in a timely manner- always. Recently every unit in the building had windows replaced and they look beautiful! Brand new windows in every single room! The building is going to get painted and landscaped- I can't wait. All the negative reviews represent a small group of people who have no life at all. Their sole purpose in life is to complain, nothing more. They haven't experienced life and have been brats during their whole miserable existence. Get a life

Bless this forlorn property management company. A sewage leak occurred in the backyard of my Santa Monica apartment rental. The property manager Vanessa had quite the attitude when I called in to tell her about the emergency at 5:30pm on a Friday. She told me I could call back Monday and speak to her assistant. Um, absolutely not. The leak lasted for 4 days without any response after various pictures were emailed, which then prompted me to report it to the city of Santa Monica. The plumbers they sent out were the most incompetent bunch, and they didn't even bring a generator with them. They

You seem to be better at responding to bad yelp reviews rather than taking phone calls or emails. I've talked to jose once and he said he'd come by and look at the problem but never did that day. The compliant I have made about my apartment is consider inhabitable living standards. From your reviews it seems that you guys have had problems with other places having termites and not taking care of properties

I am very happy with LA Property Management company. Everything always gets fixed on time, it is very easy to reach the company by phone, by e-mail, or in person. Whether it's a simple plumbing call or a need for a new appliance, my needs have always been met. I definitely recommend renting from this company. Us tenants often forget that management companies are comprised of human beings and that treating people humanely and with respect always helps the situation- just like anywhere else. Good company to rent from! Super professional and friendly staff. The whole process of signing the lease and moving in, as well as moving out, was really quick and easy.
The reason this is 4 stars instead of 5 is because I wish they had a dropbox outside their office so that you could still drop off your rent check when the office is closed, like in the evening or on weekends. I could never remember to mail the check in time, so I would have to go drop it off during normal business hours.
