There are gives and takes in apartment living and we need to be aware of that. I’ve been a resident going on 3 years and there have been some ups and downs. There were some management changes that may not have been the best, but they have been remedied.
For the Apartment aspect,Ashley and Heather have done a good job of bringing things back to ‘right’. Maintenance is quick and responsive and folks and neighbors are friendly.
There are noises and sometimes you can hear your neighbors, that’s on the neighbors, not the property. Storage is limited and not all rooms have ceiling fans.

I’ve lived here for about 2.5 months now and wanted to share my personal experience thus far. Unfortunately, the day before I moved in, the A/C unit to my apartment was struck by lightning and needed replacing. Unknowingly, the A/C installers (external company) knocked a fist sized hole in the roof when installing this A/C unit, which led to a… mystery leak straight into my bedroom. Drayton and I worked with the roofers for about 3-4 weeks to finally discover the source of the leak. It took them only a few hours one afternoon to completely repair it. Of course this is a very big inconvenience

We have been here for 5 months and are leaving. They caught the manager-Tara, stealing from peoples rentals. She had keys and was watching when people would go, on cameras. She over charged for services and pocketed the monies. Staff here acts like every problem you have is your problem. They dont want to hear that the noise is loud, that people let the dogs bark all day and night. They will never pick up the phone when you call them. Theres never a parking spot after 5pm, theres not enough handicap parking spots and the few they have anyone can use EVEN if Not handicapped. The doors are left open

The ladies in the leasing office go above and beyond to ensure all needs are met. They're very friendly, accommodating, and work hard to maintain a very high level of customer service.
The building(s) are beautiful and very well maintained inside and out. I've only been here a short time, but residents seem to try and respect each other and there have been no extraordinary noise levels that I've noticed.
If you're looking for a spacious environment, which a lot of people working remotely will appreciate, and enjoy updated appliances and a visually pleasing layout, you'll do well in this community

I have lived here for 5 years, and I can say the current management is the worst I’ve experienced. I no longer feel safe living here because my car was stolen out of the parking lot. When I notified the leasing office and expressed my concerns, I felt that I was not taken seriously. I was basically laughed at and made to feel the safety of their… residents is not a priority. As a young, single female I do not feel safe and would not recommend living here. It is such a shame to see the current management run this beautiful place into the ground. I will be counting down the days until

Recently, my fiancé’s car was stolen from the parking lot at Drayton Mills. We filed a case with the police and we reached out to the Drayton leasing office. The office was little to no help at all. They said that they looked at the video footage from the single camera in the parking lot but they only asked us to come in and help them look at the… video once they were up to 5am in the morning. We tried to give them a time frame of when she arrived to the apartments the night before but they did want to take our advice or help what so ever.

Management is rude and unprofessional if you don’t renew your lease. The property changed management groups in the middle of my lease. “ Big mistake” RKW management corporate office doesn’t respond to complaints, nor address tenant issues.
The current management officials are charging me $758 dollars because I didn’t give 60 day notice, but my contract states a minimum of 30 days is required. I verified this with the NAA whom drafted the lease and stated to me “A 30 day notice is sufficient time to terminate a lease toward the end of a tenant’s rental agreement ”. I let them know

I have lived here for 2 months. It was a place to stay between buying a house. Although it is a nice place , I am having lots of trouble finding a place park. I have a handicap placcar and still cannot find a place to park. The management appears to not care about disabled people!! I have to park far away and get my self into the building!!! Parking is a big problem!!75

Have heard nothing but negative things from friends that live here. Management does not take care of issues and complaints. The walls in every apartment are SO thin, so if you enjoy listening to your neighbors use the bathroom or constantly listen to their God awful dogs bark and get yelled at by their owners, this is the place for you. The quality of each apartment is NOT worth what they charge for rent, especially with appliances breaking constantly. Want to have large packages delivered? Good luck with that!! Recently they stopped allowing packages to be delivered to their office, and instead

Drayton Mills is absolutely beautiful. From the brick walls and huge windows to the restaurants and the walking trails, Drayton checks every box at first glance.
But, when it comes time to actually live here, Drayton is awful. The floors are so thin that you can hear everything above and below you. Whether it be your downstairs neighbor's morning… alarm or phone on speaker, you can hear everything. It sounds dramatic, but I promise you it is not. If the tenant below you sneezes, you will be able to hear it. Not to mention, if the neighboring tenant chooses to have people over, there is no

I cannot recommend enough. This place has become home. A great core group of residents that have formed a community. A staff that works hard to make things right. Bonus of the growing Marketplace for food and drink and fun. Ignore the negative reviews. All apartment buildings have their issues. The people are what make this place special!

I’ve been a resident at Drayton Mills for about 1 1/2 years now and have loved every minute of it! Management is very responsive to any requests and they take the time to let their residents know that they are appreciated! Not to mention, how many great businesses that are literally a few feet from my doorstep♥️

I am a current renter at this place and I have had nothing but a bad experience from the time I moved in. The apartment was not clean. The crown molding was water damaged from the shower in the bathroom. The carpet was dirty and needed to be replaced. The unit had not been painted. The windows which was what drew me to rent here were dirty on the outside. The oven had not been cleaned. I took pictures of all these things and I will post them just so people can see. For these to be considered luxury apartments and for the amount of money I pay the management has been very resistent in fixing these

We lived here for 3 years. Made many good memories and even a few friends. It was special to watch the Drayton community grow around us. It's become a nice little business community. Overall, we had a good experience living at the Mills. We lived on the third floor, so we didn't have the noise issues others have.
My only gripe is the current management. When we moved in, management was kind, personable, and reliable in their communication and problem solving. The current management does not meet this standard. They're rude, dismissive, and negligent when it comes to enforcing leasing

I’ve lived here 2 weeks and this place is AMAZING. They have amazing facilities on site including pizza, a gym and much more. The ladies in the office are amazing. Lauren handled my move and all through email and catered to me perfectly. They always greet you with a smile. I was hesitant to move in after reading reviews talking about noise. I’ve barely heard a thing besides pups running around. The inside is gorgeous and very unique. Love love love it here.

These apartments will AT FIRST sweep you off your feet. You will shortly realize after moving in that they are cheaply set up. Cheap appliances (we had to replace our stove a couple weeks after moving in) and cheap fixtures. Fans that are noisy. Washer and dryer that smell. You get the picture. Oh, and the icing on the cake is the dogs barking at all hours of the night which we have recently had issues with. You can best sum it up in 4 words: cheap dormitory and kennel. That’s all this is. Don’t waste your money. Go buy a house. If anything, don’t give these people your business. They aren’t

First and foremost. I am not one to complain. I really and truly do not. But If I could give this place a 0 I would. RUDE staff manager did not even come out to greet my mom and I when looking for an apartment. Sent her assistant/tour guide (who was extremely nice might I add) back and forth like a dog when answering our questions. When the manager finally decided to show her face to us after coming back because we wanted some clarification about their lease agreement, she was extremely rude about the policy they hold regarding 9 month leases. Her attitude took both my mom and I back completely
