Receive mentoring, coaching and training that will help you hone your skills as a yoga teacher or yoga therapist. The internet is flooded with online classes - and many of those classes are beautiful to watch and follow. What they lack is the personal touch of a knowledgeable instructor who teaches you in an interactive format that addresses your unique needs.
Instead of merely performing a practice - leaving you to copy what you see on your screen - our instructors carefully view each online classroom "window." They model key concepts, but mainly observe closely, offering individualized instructions to help you find your optimal practice, in a non-judgmental atmosphere of kindness and respect.

In the early yoga tradition, yoga was exclusively taught one-on-one, in order to tailor each session to that one student's needs and interests. While group classes are now thriving, private one-on-one sessions allow you to address your unique needs in an entirely different way.
You get to choose your focus, be it regaining flexibility and strength, working on posture, addressing a painful or chronic condition, a health issue, or even debilitating stress, and more. The instructor works with you to identify your unique interests and goals, and tailors each session to help you to further your practice.

Charlotte has been practicing yoga and meditation for over forty years, but it wasn't love at first sight. When she first began to practice while a student at the University of Zrich in Switzerland, she saw yoga chiefly as a way to stretch. After being a student of yoga for over 20 years, Rene found her yoga home at Stone Center for Yoga and Health and became a 200 hour RYT in 2016.
Yoga's popularity continues to rise as people seek out its benefits for body, mind and spirit. Hospitals, fitness centers, corporations and schools all offer yoga. Yoga makes us stronger, more flexible, and more stress-hardy. It helps us celebrate our vibrant aliveness in the best of times, and sustains us through times of challenge, growth and transformation.
A deep respect for the body's innate intelligence guides this training. Our bodies have a brilliant, sacred structure. Each bone, muscle, and joint has a function - a "dharma." When we move in ways that respect our unique needs, we respond with profound relief. We feel better. We function better.
The Stone Yoga Method blends the teachings of Structural Yoga with three respected lineages: the breath-centered, highly adaptive approach of Viniyoga as taught by Krishnamacharya, the time-honored wisdom of Ayurveda, and the organic movements of Feldenkrais. We also draw upon a thorough understanding of contemporary treatment approaches.

Stone Center Yoga is virtual presently, so you get to experience the classes wherever you are. I've done yoga for about 30 years...in this space you will gain strength, flexibility, compassion and avoid injury. Renee is my favorite and Charlotte is amazing as well. I can't speak for the other classes, as I have not taken them. Glad to have this yoga center.

Ideal yoga experience--professional instructors, big clean space, great variety of classes, good parking... what more could you ask for? Plus, they always offer modifications for people with health issues or physical limitations. No yogi left behind! There are also classes for a more advanced practice, so there's something for everyone here.
Charlotte is like the Yoda of Yoga. Any class with her is an enlightening experience. Recently, I've been taking classes with Renee and she brings her own style and personality which has been wonderful. I'm sure all the instructors are of the same high caliber

It was my first time here, they recommend not to eat an hr before working out and for a reason! The work out was excellent! Instructor was helpful in making sure i was okay and was not pushy for me to complete the forms since i was a beginner. Came here after buying a groupon but they also have deals on site!

I was invited to try a free class as I have a friend who is a local and attends this studio often. I took Charlotte's Thursday night class and found it extremely calming and relaxing! Charlotte has a wonderful presence and calming energy. The studio is clean, organized, and has a quaint, "home-grown" feel to it. Definitely a great place to check out if you're in the area!

Stone yoga is exactly the type of studio i was looking for. Improving my bone and muscle strength and balance have become very important in recent years to keep me as active as possible. Charlotte is so knowledgeable and very aware of our needs and limitations, be it an old injury or a painful condition. She is always changing the class to make it interesting and challenging, but never pushes you beyond your personal limits. She is always there to help with advice and props to make your workout fun and comfortable . I always leave the class more relaxed and energized and ready to start
