Welcome to Rainbow Child Care Center, where our days are bright and colorful, and learning and fun go hand in hand. For over forty years, Rainbow has provided a safe, nurturing environment for children aged two-and-a-half through six years old. We're proud of our caring staff and low student-teacher ratio - and even prouder of the kids we've watched grow and thrive.
Here at Rainbow, we take lots of photos everyday to gather the fun experiences and observations of our days. We share these pictures with parents through daily journals. Every ordinary moment during childhood is worth capturing!

Services
After completing the paperwork and paying the application fee, parents are notified of an enrollment opening and can arrange a starting date. We enroll throughout the year. If applicable, spaces on our wait-list open on a first-come basis. Tuition is contracted on an annual basis through SmartCare, an electronic funds transfer service.
The Volunteer Agreement describes the arrangement between Rainbow and you. We wish to assure you of our appreciation for your time and effort in volunteering with us. The time and effort you spend helping us keep Rainbow the wonderful school is essential to our community. The volunteer hours everyone contributes helps to cut down on maintenance expenses and in turn, tuition cost.

Rainbow is an exceptional childcare center! My daughter attended Rainbow from 2.5 years until she started Kindergarten. She loved attending and I had complete peace of mind when she was there. It was very hassle free - the center took care of lunches (often home made from the garden by the children!) as well as laundering bedsheets. The staff at Rainbow were warm and caring, while setting appropriate limits and fostering amazing social-emotional and academic growth. They made every child feel loved and every day feel special. Our child was at Rainbow for a year and a half and LOVED it. He learned to cook, played outside as much as was possible, came home with frameable artwork and every day there was a different creative activity that sparked his imagination. The great staff knew their stuff and helped foster all the things that need to be fostered during this stage of life. Highly recommend!

Rainbow is a very dependable preschool to bring your children to. I sent both of my kids there living as a single parent and Rainbow was super supportive! My shift was early in the morning & they accommodated my 10 hour work days. My children were very happy with the teachers and the programs they run. It gets the kids involved in activities from live music to swim lessons. The scholarship program was very helpful for me having 2 children there & the prices affordable.
I highly recommend Rainbow Center! Karen is an amazing director with so much love for the children and passionate about the programs

Our daughter went to Rainbow preschool for 2 years, and still speaks incredibly fondly of it whenever we drive by. From my wife and my first tour of the facility prior to enrollment we knew we'd found the perfect preschool - a creative, nurturing, welcoming, and relaxed teaching and learning environment - without the sterile corporate feel we got at several others. The teachers have been there for years (minimal turnover - always a good sign!), and the curriculum of summer swim lessons, hiking behind the school, winter and spring "programs" where the kids put on plays and sing songs to families

Rainbow is the most magical place! Karen and Cheney create an atmosphere where kids play and learn and are given freedom freedom to explore within appropriate boundaries. They do all the things that I wish I had the time and energy to do at home - incredible art projects, gardening, home-cooked meals, unbelievable programs/performances, fun field trips. The kids learn so much, and have a great time doing it! The space is amazing too - so much room to explore and play. We've been sending our kiddo to Rainbow since August of 2019, and I strongly recommend it. Karen has done a spectacular job of curating an amazing team of professionals that love what they do, and they run the place very smoothly.

Rainbow is an incredibly special place--both my daughters attended. The kids spend months preparing for bi-annual performances, and work together on the sets, costumes, music and lines. These productions teach kids of varying ages to work with others, and to link ongoing effort to reward. Karen and the staff place an exceptional premium on creativity and kindness. In non-Covid times, my husband and I both loved that they make lunch for and with the students every day with vegetables harvested from the garden, and all the students sit down and clean up together. Rainbow was everything we wanted in a neighborhood preschool: caring, nurturing, fun, and, above all, magical!
