As with any medical check-up or treatment, the provider that you're dealing with makes a huge difference in how comfortable you feel visiting their office. Unfortunately, many people have experienced the unpleasantness of an overly-clinical doctor's visit, where they leave the office with the impression that the practitioner didn't really care too much about his or her patients; like they were just another file name or case number.
At Brandon Eye Associates, that attitude couldn't be further from the truth. In addition to being lauded, board-certified physicians at the height of their careers, your Brandon, Sun City Center and Plant City Ophthalmologists are caring healthcare providers whose main priority is the safety and overall well-being of their patients.

New pt of Dr. Lawrence Taylor, very happy. 1st appt was for annual checkup. During entry workup, left eye so blurry, decided I needed new Rx for glasses. After Dr. Taylor took a look, turned out I needed YAG laser treatment to burn away membranes growing from cataract surgeries in 2012 and 2018. New glasses not needed. I chose Dr. Taylor on the recommendation of my sister-in-law, a long-time patient of his who has battled macular degeneration for years. Dr. Taylor is professional, friendly. Staff is courteous, helpful, professional.

This office is very thorough, and have a very great system to move you through the appointment process and testing.
Dr. Honickman and his staff are awesome! This doctor's credentials are impressive. I was referred to this doctor by an eye surgeon because he suspected a hole in my retina. Once he conducted the neccessary tests he detected a retinal tear. Dr. Honickman would not allow me to leave until he could perform the laser surgery to preserve my eye.
I know this appointment placed him behind. I am so thankful that he cares about his patients. He has also provided folliw-up appointments to

I always schedule the earliest available appointment and I have never waited more than 20 minutes at the most. I went here because I have a blocked lacrimal gland that has created a large lump under my eyelid and I have went everywhere to try and get a surgery scheduled for it. No luck. However, I found Brandon Eye Associates because they take my Medicaid and Dr. Landy is so professional and quick , yet efficient. I can tell she is very knowledgeable in her field and it gives me relief to know I am in good hands. 😊 Thank you Brandon Eye Associates.

If you like being treated like a head of cattle, and being ripped off this is your place.
Waited in the waiting room for close to an hour. I complained so they moved me into an examination room where I was left for 45 minutes until again I complained. Then I was moved to a SECOND waiting area. Where I waited again and had to find someone to say, "I have work. I cant keep waiting here." Brought me in to see the Doctor where he spent an absolute max with me of 15 minutes. Received the bill for 45 minutes of his time.
I called billing where the person I spoke to had a very negative attitude toward

Brandon Eye was recommended to me by my optometrist, I had a medical issue he was not able to treat, and they are close to my home.
I certainly would recommend looking elsewhere for eye treatment.
1st they overbook appointments. every time I go I have to wait at least an hour to see the doctor, sometimes more, I asked If they were overbooking, I was politely told "yes" by an employee.
but why I am giving this review is the deceptive practice of reviewing your financial responsibility before a procedure then billing you for more than they told me it would be. I had laser treatment in both eyes

I went to Brandon Eye Associates because my vision was blurry, they were in my network, had good reviews and were local. I was glad I did, because in my first appt I found out I had cataracts, and was immediately scheduled for surgery. Measure, measure and measure again - these folks are THOROUGH. I had eye surgery in the past but I was still pretty scared - but Dr Fisher is great - explained the entire procedure and relieved my fears. His entire staff is friendly and reassuring. So far only one eye is done - the astigmatism eye - and for the first time since I was 5 I can see distance without
