Pretty mediocre. I found the flavors very lacking in the food I ordered. I ordered Singapore style noodles, which should have a little heat and spice to them, and these def didn't. I had to fix them up at home with some of my own pantry items to bring them up to snuff. Wouldn't make a return visit. Better options out there!

Today must have been a bad day at New Gourmet House restaurant. My vegetable-rice dinner was just ok. Rice tasted great, but veggies had a bad background oily taste, with very little sauce, so it was also dry. I've ordered here in the past and food was good. I hope they correct their problems, as today I was disappointed. (If I hadn't had good food here in the past, I would have given 2 stars).

Great food! They double checked my order very thoroughly at pickup to make sure it was all there. I've tried multiple dishes and everything has been good! They're always super cautious about distancing and masking, with a barrier between the customers and employees and only one party at a time in the lobby/entryway. You can order online and pay ahead online, and pickup is usually about 30 minutes later. I've never had to wait past the estimated time.

Generally good food at an appropriate price. The crab rangoons are above average for the area (I've recently been trying different Chinese restaurants around the area). The Szechuan chicken had plenty of vegetables, but wasn't very flavorful; on the menu I say at the door, they say they can accommodate spice levels--next time I'll ask for a bit more spice.

Chinese, is for me, the be all-end all of take out. Yummy noodles, crunchy egg rolls, sweet and spicy chunks of chicken! You can't go wrong. Now, I can't say Gourmet House is the best I've ever had, but it a solid choice. They have decent hours and are usually pretty quick.
We often get the General Taos, Crab Rangoon, Low Mein, Egg Rolls.... sometimes well try other things. I don't know how but somehow their fries are always still crispy when we get home.
Wanna make a million bucks? Invent a take out container that keeps crispy thingy crispy. The condensation and steam usually

Was dying for Chinese food and thought I'd give them a try! Family of 4... the only one that was decent was the eggplant, broccoli, zucchini. The taste was ok there was not one piece of zucchini tho. The beef and broccoli was mediocre. Not bad but a bit dry. The sweet and sour was overcooked. My MooShu chicken was...eh...there was no hoisin sauce with it and the pancakes were awful. They were not soft much, hard to roll for sure! The egg rolls were delicious as well as the crab Rangoon.

This is the only place we order Chinese food from. We have tried other places and to us nothing compared in our area. We have been going here fo re a few years now and pretty much get the same thing each time. The sesame chicken is fantastic. We always ask for it to be extra spicy. A side order of crab rangoon and an order of fried dumplings. The staff is extremely friendly. They get the food out hot and on time. Only downside is no delivery. Unless you use a food delivery service yourself. We are lucky enough to live close.

I haven't had Chinese food in awhile, so I decided to order a take-out. I had chicken with broccoli and house rice instead of pork fried rice. I also ordered the chicken noodle soup. The food here is great, but the only complaint is they are very stingy with the meat that's supposed to be in the rice. I was better off not requesting any meat and just get plain fried rice. Also, how can you have a restaurant and won't allow customers to use your bathroom?

I had to share this AMAZING NEWER hidden gem~
China Gourmet House.Honestly speaking we found it this past January......,.,literally by accident, and still haven't stopped the flow of gratitude. This is one of those places you might walk by and not notice~yet their menu of Asian cuisine~could never leave your mind. They are a local family owned business( husband & wife with 3 or 4 children) and never have I ever had fresher ingredients.I literally had to give some thought to the possibility that there is a greenhouse out back, from which they pick their produce before each and every meal prep

I was craving vegetable mei fun recently, and was scouring the assortment of menus in my kitchen for a location with this item on the menu. Gourmet House had what I was looking for, and luckily enough for me, it's super close to my house. I called in a take-out order and it was ready literally in 10 minutes.
Located in the Wegmans plaza on Titus and Hudson, the location is great. There is plenty of parking, and you can get an assortment of shopping done after a dine-in experience.
The restaurant is rather small, but there is enough seating. The staff is friendly and helpful.

This place is horrible. Wasted 30 bucks once again . I've given them a try a few times and tonight was the worst. I Saw the guy defrost all 4 of my egg rolls and then drop them in the fryer for a few minutes to make them crispy. The chicken wing and rice combo was cold. Sorry, but never again. I would pay a few more bucks to eat at Hong Kong at I-Square.

I am so sick and tired of getting a gooey chicken like product when ordering sesame chicken. At Gourmet House 10 out of 10 times it's all white meat chicken and it's crispy. I have convinced all my friends and family to go here all with great success. There has yet been a time I have eaten and not been satisfied. Personally I have never went to sit down I always get mine to go.

I don't know about the bad reviews this place gets or if they reviews are just outdated but they couldn't be more wrong. I stopped by a few months back with my mother after shopping at Wegmans and have been coming back since. Its in a perfect stop and the food and service is always delicious. I believe it is family owned and run it's the same people running the place and they are extremely nice I've been here a few times and they already remember us. I have order the sesame tofu, Kung po tofu, ma po tofu, hot and sour soup, white rice, vegetable steamed dumplings and they are

A prime example of why I try to visit a place twice before reviewing it. We stopped by for lunch on a weekday, greeted by an abandoned counter and dining room. This area isn't really bustling full of office workers, but I expected at least some activity at noon on a Wednesday. We were promptly greeted and took a seat at the booth of our choice. We ordered two lunch specials, chicken with garlic sauce and General Tso's, as well as some crab rangoons.
The egg drop soup, which accompanied the lunches (choice of wonton, egg drop, or hot & sour soups), was fine if a tad simple, until

I wanted to be a fan; really I need a good visit to the orient near my home base. I ordered General Tsao's chicken combo. The eggroll was standard. The fried rice was tender, and crammed with pork and onion. The chicken however was pretty heavily breaded but not dried out. There was not an abundance of sauce; I HEART SAUCE! and although there were 4 chili peppers in the mix it lacked flavor.
