Nurse Aide often referred to as a CNA (Certified Nursing Assitant) or in Ohio an STNA (State Tested Nurse Aide), is a great entry into the healthcare industry. Nurse Aides provide basic care and help with daily living activities such as bathing and dressing patients, assisting with meals, and taking and recording patient vital signs like temperature and blood pressure.
Medical Billing and Coding Specialist program students can anticipate learning about the medical office environment, the basics in anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS Level II coding, the range of CCI edits, which are vital to the professional, and how to develop basic job search skills.
