Services
The mission of Allies in Change is to raise awareness of, educate about, and encourage the practice of healthy, loving and respectful relationships with oneself, one's partner and family, and the community. As our name reflects, Allies in Change intends to promote working with others as allies.

We acknowledge that some cultural values such as traditional definitions of gender roles and power may undermine a person's ability to be fulling loving in relationships. We seek to address and change these values on individual, familial and societal levels. As an agency, we seek to practice these values ourselves in both our professional and personal lives.
D., licensed psychologist, is the Executive Director of Allies in Change. He offers individual and couples counseling with adults on a variety of issues including mood disorders, stress management, relationship/intimacy issues, and addictions. Chris is also a facilitator in three of our counseling groups.
From the MAX: Get off at the Sunset MAX Stop, walk up the stairs from the rain platform. Turn left and walk up a second set of stairs leading to the pedestrian walkway over Highway 26. A parking garage will be on your right. At the end of the walkway, walk south to the five way intersection. Continue south onto Marlow Ave.
We offer individual counseling for men and women for a variety of issues including: managing emotions such as anger, depression, stress, and anxiety; building greater intimacy and connection in relationships with others. We address many other common issues.

Our Respectul Parenting Program is a hybrid therapy program which is similar in content to our men's counseling groups, however, this program incorporates a 12 week parenting class within the group which helps fathers learn effective parenting skills and styles. Our women's recovery counseling group provides a supportive setting for women who either currently are in or formerly have been in an abusive relationship.
At Allies in Change, we have a wide variety of fee structures based on the various counseling services, trainings, and other programs that we offer. If you have any questions regarding some of our programs and fee structures, contact our office. We are aware of the financial hardships that many families face, which is why we offer sliding scale fees for our clients who financially qualify.

This program is a huge waste of time. Charge you 50 a class plus you now have to buy a book the owner wrote or you can't complete the program. Stay far away from this program and trey Nance. They have only $ on their mind. Not a tru allies unless you pay them money.

Complete disappointment not really working with people in the community. 1st eliminating people from programs without notification or warnings. 2nd counselors not familiar with class or on going groups. 3rd making decisions for parenting programs with no intake or departure evaluations. This course is a mistake for someone to attend . Also you will have to take a course and purchase a book written by the owner in order to complete the program. This is a complete money making racket and has no goals or empathy for the clients. Beware as Matt and trey Nance have no empathy and are not really taking

The people there are incredibly rude and don't care about what really happened in your case. Every time you try and scedule therapy with them they always tell you that the times they listed for you have already been taken by someone else and give you really inconvenient times for your court ordered therapy.
It's like they want to see you fail and go back to jail. Don't choose these people they are impossible to work with and just see you as a paycheck.

The secretaries that set up appointments are very rude over the phone. And tend to over talk you while explaining your situation to them. Which makes it impossible for you to get questions answered. Instead of over talking people, why don’t they help people by listening to them first? No stars would be more appropriate for this company.

It’s a hit and miss here. Sometimes you walk away with great things to think on for the week. And other times you’re left wondering what the meeting was even about.
I think this program is a great way to see that many people in all walks of life make the choice to live or be a victim. While here no one casts judgement and your fellow mates will provide advice from personal experience in their worldly view.
Don’t waste to join on your own it’s worth living again with out fear or resentment towards anyone.
