Immigration Counseling Service is Oregon's oldest, and only, independent nonprofit immigration law firm, with offices in Hood River and Portland, and a monthly legal clinic in Central Oregon. Our mission is to strengthen communities and help bring stability to individuals and their families by providing high quality low-cost immigration legal services, outreach, and education to foreign-born residents of Oregon and Southwest Washington.

Unfortunately, many of our clients come from places where there is little regard for the law and others from areas where the laws hold no freedom.

The need for high-quality, low-cost immigration legal services has never been greater. Since 2016, due to rapid, sometimes overnight changes in U.S. immigration policy, the demand for legal services has exploded, especially for those to seeking protection from violence and death, unaccompanied minors, and those wanting to reunify their families.
Dr. Coll was born in Havana, Cuba and migrated to the United States during the 1980 Mariel Boat Lift. Social Work from the University of Central Florida, and a Ph. Supervision from the University of South Florida. D.J. leads the investor and public relations for Digimarc, an automatic idenfication software company based in Beaverton, Oregon.

Unbelievably bad service. Fortunately provided us compensation as their solicitor LIED to us causing us to lose money. Day of exchange and completion nothing happened as they had ignored the other sides request to change the date. We were sitting at home like mugs, they didn't even tell us it wasn't going through, we had to keep phoning them. Solicitor went home early, didn't even have the courtesy to call. Go with them at your peril.

Avoid this company at all costs. They will tell you they can do something and then completely ignore you. If you send them an email their out of office states they will respond in 3 days (!!) - and that's if you are lucky.
I have never in my life dealt with a more inept person than Danielle. When I needed a response from her or Imogen I couldn't get one for days, however when I sent emails complaining about her actions, she flew emails back at me at a rate of knots, mostly with incorrect information.
How on earth she is a legal secretary is beyond me.

I write this review as I don’t want anyone to have the experience I did.
As a first time buyer you would want to avoid this firm. They made my move extremely stressful. Very dismissive if you have any questions. You’ll be expected to know the moving process as Alison and co will have no interest in supporting you.
Communication wasn’t great from the start. My move very nearly fell through on completion day due to lack of clarity over fees.

Unfortunately I was unlucky enough to be part of a chain which included ICS for the conveyancing, during my recent property move. Time and time again they failed to do what they promised, and because their sheer incompetence and what was a simple 3 way chain took 7 months instead of 3! The only reason the sale was salvaged, was the fact all of the chain got together and forced it through ourselves by banging heads together daily!
Do yourself a massive favour and avoid at all costs if your thinking of a conveyancing company.

The process of purchasing a new property can be a long, time consuming and tedious process and with being first time buyers it can also be intimidating. Stay clear this place almost lost me the sale of my house. On the day we were meant to be exchanging contract my solicitor was nowhere to be seen witch ended up no contract getting exchanged and ended up selling my house on the Friday and not getting my new house until the Monday while this company sat on my £300k for the weekend
