Service is so good. The team is great. I’ve been coming here for years and it’s always consistent, generous and so comfortable. Like I’m dining or drinking at home. From a fabulous breakfast ( do the avocado toast with fried poached egg$. To dinner or drinks in the evening always a great experience:-)

Classic hotel restaurant food. Man, I wanted to like this so much more than I did. After seeing a few dynamite veg options, I was sold.
Service- meh. I was sitting at the bar and there were about seven other people sitting there as well. Not a lot. It was about 6:30p and we were the only people in the joint. I was expecting service to be on fire due to the lack of patrons, expect I kept getting overlooked. Maybe it was because I was reading a book, but you should still check on me and realize when I'm trying to flag you down or making eye contact with you that I'm ready to order. I

Stayed at the Sheraton, Austin and this restaurant was at the bottom level. The breakfast buffet was pretty good. For lunch my friend and I had Caesar salad and shrimp tacos. I traded out the corn tortillas for flour ones and it was very delicious. Yo engage the flavor skirt the line and ask for a side of salsa and chipotle aioli.

Disclaimer: this review is for the Sunday Family Funday Brunch at backYARD only, partially for the event space itself, but NOT for the Sheraton Hotel in which it’s located. I usually only take the time to write positive reviews, but felt this was warranted. So here goes... Sunday Family Funday Brunch at backYARD at Waller Creek is held the last Sunday of the month throughout the hotter summer months (we went in June). The ‘backYARD’ is the courtyard of the Sheraton Hotel. The architecture is beautiful and the landscaping very well maintained, which one expects of a pricey downtown/CBD hotel

First time in Austin and this place knows how to set the tone. The atmosphere at this restaurant is amazing and it is attached to the hotel which is also very nice. I went with the fish tacos which was amazing flavor and it was so good i had to order another two lol. If your traveling to Austin i defiantly recommend staying at this hotel and dinning at this bar.

We ate breakfast here while staying at the Sheraton. Buffet is $18 and lots of gluten filled items. Gravy, biscuits, sweet rolls, cereal, etc. There were eggs, bacon and fruit that someone with gluten sensitivity could eat, but it sure is expensive for a narrowed selection.
The waiter was slooooow and the check had 20% added automatically. He sure didn't earn it.

We decided to try the restaurant in the hotel because we didn't want to drive around looking for dinner. We were greeted by friendly staff. The food was amazing. The burger was cooked perfectly served on a fresh bun. The truffle fries were very fragrant with shaved Parmesan sprinkled throughout. The guacamole was made to order and served with house made chips. Chopped salad had avocado and bacon bits in every bite. The restaurant is beautifully decorated in a very nice setting. The huge windows looks out to the large outdoor seating area, which is surrounded by a nice grassy area.
