Cannon & Belle
With a menu as ambitious, inspired, and unexpected as Austin itself, Cannon + Belle captures the taste and the texture of the weird city everyone loves to love. From the Bourbon Bar Experience to fresh cuisine made with locally sourced ingredients, Cannon + Belle's bar, indoor biergarten and dynamic kitchen is Austin's answer to Texas-fresh.

We keep our friends close and our flavors closer. With freshness and sustainability in mind, we're dedicated to sourcing our ingredients and wines from local Texas farmers whenever possible.
Services
It started very hush-hush. In 1842, Governor Sam Houston ordered the secret removal of the Texas Republic archives to safekeeping in Washington-on-the-Brazos. Fearing that symbols of the national government were being removed from the city, Austinite and local legend Angelina Belle Eberly fired a six-pound cannon into the General Land Office Building.

We tried to go there for dinner on a Sunday evening. The hostess sat us away from the bar area where they had seating in the hallway/walkway. There was a dining room but it was not being used. I was kind of concerned and asked if it had table service - we were assured it did. I wouldn't have minded ordering at the hostess desk or bar and picked up the food but was told we would be taken care of. :D Yeah, 25 minutes later we left - tried to flag down wait staff after 15 minutes which is when we started researching other places to eat. I get it. They're short staffed and the hostess placed

We really appreciate that this place was available in the last minute when everywhere else open for Christmas Eve was fully booked. We ordered assorted cheese, chicken wings, Caesar salad, hummus, margarita pizza, goat cheese pizza. We also ordered some liquor including Cuban, Prosecco, Pinot noir, etc. All their food items we ordered were shareable, great for a group of five. The food quality is not the top tier, but the place is great for just getting together and enjoying each others company (3 star).

My husband and I decided to have dinner here since we stayed at the Hilton, the decor was very cute, drinks were good and that's about it. We ordered the pepperoni pizza and brisket mac &cheese it was blah. Service was okay.. the bar got crowded around 6:30/7pm and it seemed to go downhill from then, we finished our drinks and it took about 20mins for our other drinks to come.. the bar took up more priority over the customers at the tables. Over all it was decent. If you're staying at the hotel and don't feel like driving, its convenient, better than fast food.

While it doesn't state it in the description, this is the hotel bar at the Hilton. We arrived at around 5:30 pm. It's loud and crowded during happy hours, but then tapers off. The menu is limited. I enjoyed the grilled salmon with veggies and my husband had an excellent club sandwich.

Cannon + Belle Is is a solid choice for dining in downtown Austin. We had a large party, and service was reasonably good. As for the food, the hamburgers were very large and tasty, and not greasy as some of the other interviews on Google would suggest. The salmon was fresh and flavorful. I would stay away from the steak, which was average at best. If you have room for dessert, the bread pudding was universally well recieved.

Staff was looking tired and their face showed it. Food was good. Ordered the burger and a club sandwich. As soon as I checked in yelp offers free appetizer. Asked waitress and she came back manager said that expired. Service was very slow i believe they are understaffed. Had breakfast next morning. Everything was good staff still looked tired and unhappy.

Ate dinner here last night while staying at the Hilton on vacation. We had to sit outside of the restaurant because they were so busy (and it was a Monday night)- definitely recommend making a reservation. The waitress was so friendly! We started with the chips and dip, which were great. My husband and I split the roasted chicken and steak. Everything was so tasty. The kitchen was totally happy to modify their pepperoni pizza to be half cheese for the kids we had with us. Really great! They have a great cocktail menu as well. Just a note, the menu listed on their website right now doesn't

If you get a bad steak send it back . Worth the wait unless you are starving … staying here at the hotel , so I get I shouldn’t expect the best steak at a hotel …but the first steak sent out I wouldn’t have fed to my dog.. both pics below. My sister’s steak was also sadly not great …not sure if I want to risk eating here again. Also no discount any of the food

Hands down the best old fashioned I've ever had. Had it as a nightcap two nights in a row and they were both as good. Our bartender Jonathan is a craftsman. I highly recommend this place.

5 stars for an excellent staff! Genuinely friendly and focused on great service.
We went here not once but twice while we stayed at the Hilton in Austin.
For dinner, I highly recommend their handmade pizza (we tried pepperoni) and their salmon entree. Scrumptious!
We tried a few of their desserts and I'd rate them in the following order - chocolate cake (decadent!!!) , bourbon bread pudding (served with ice cream!) and their cheese cake (served with fresh peach slices).
Great ambiance and a lovely bar as well. I didn't try any alcoholic beverages but they make a mean virgin mojito

The steak here is amazing a best I’ve had in Austin. And burgers + tacos also pretty good. The tacos picture are the $4 happy hour mini tacos which were delicious.

I absolutely loved the food here ! of course the restaurant is inside the Hilton hotel , and just FYI you'll have to pay for parking every day that you're here , which is about twenty five to forty dollars . when we got to the restaurant I believe it opens at five o'clock to ten o'clock or eleven , and everybody was really nice . because of Covid you must have your mask when you arrive , however when you sit down you can take your mask off . we got to sit actually anywhere around the vicinity of the restaurant , so we sat further away from The inside seating and sat a little

This place was a life saver! My family and I were displaced due to snow storm knocking out our homes power, we were forced downtown for an overnight stay. This seemed to be the only location open to get a meal, and although they were under staffed and overwhelmed by patrons they handled the rush like champs and still provided a quality meal!! I had the C&B Burger and wasn't disappointed, flavorful, juicy and cooked to perfection. I'll be back under a less stressful situation to text other items on the menu.

I came here for my sister's graduation. We had reservations made ahead of time which made it a lot easier. The staff is so friendly and attentive. We had a large table dedicated for our party. We had the option of doing a buffet brunch or just ordering meals from the menu. It's a lot of food, and so tasteful. I think 1 person of our party of 7-8 people totally was able to finish all their food haha. We definitely took our leftovers to-go.

This restaurant is located inside the Hilton hotel. Super nice!!

Decent for a hotel restaurant and bar. Bar has great happy hour prices, so it can get busy quickly. I tried all their whiskey cocktails, and they were all good. Had local beers, too. Ate a pizza, it was fine. Shared desserts with my daughter, and they weren't anything impressive. I was surprised that so many people were eating dinner here on Valentine's Day.

I've hit this place a few times en route to events at the hotel. The pizzas are very good. The meatball pizza has fantastic, seasoned, tangy meat. The crab cakes are very good, tasty but lacked a little zing in the sauce.

But, perhaps most importantly, the drinks are outstanding lol. On my last venture there, I was suffering from a stuffy head and relied on the bourbon bar magicians to doctor me up. The drink was citrusy, rich and healing. Thanks Doc! See you next time!

Breakfast Review: ate here on a Thursday morning before leaving for the airport. It's located in the lobby of the Austin Hilton. Just a few other people there do not busy at all. They offer a buffet or a menu. I had the omelette and you can choose up to three items to have in it. Comes with a large side of potatoes and choice of toast. It's an open kitchen so you can see and smell everything being made. The bacon had a real nice deep Smokey flavor to it .

In town for a conference and staying at the Hilton...needed a place to do my fantasy draft and Cannon and Belle was perfect. Secured a corner spot on the bar, grabbed a margarita and hung out for 2 hours.

I got the brisket Mac and cheese and the cornbread to go and both were awesome! The pizzas looked good too.

They have a bourbon bar which seemed to be pretty popular as well!

Excellent customer service and delicious pizza and salad! The restaurant is lovely, even more so at the moment with all of the magical holiday decorations. I enjoyed the view of the park right outside the window. The ambiance still made for a relaxing meal even though it was busy.

Stopped in for a quick breakfast before our tour that depArted right next door at the Austin Visitor Center.

Located in the Hilton lobby.

They have a full breakfast buffet at $22 per person. We didn't have a lot of time so we chose to order off the menu. Good selection and good prices.

Mostly business attire as it was people staying at the hotel. But you can come as casual as you wanted. It literally is in the lobby of the hotel.

One block from visitor center.

Super fast service so go even if you are in a hurry!!

I got Just a side of pancakes for under five dollars, it was the perfect

Ugh. Below mediocre food. We ordered what seemed to sound amazing sun choke artichoke hummus. Lacked flavor ... but the pita bread was yummy and doughy.
The charcuterie board had boring cheeses and fatty salamis.
We ordered the short rib pizza, too sweet and not enough meat.

They had decent wine but you also pay for the markup and they didn't have decent wine glasses.

The bartender was dry and seemed like he didn't want to be there.
I would definitely recommend venturing out of the hotel for food and wine.

Christmas dinner buffet was reasonable although the ham was a reformed ham and other meats were a bit cold. Good selection of salads, vegetables and a great soup. Desserts were highly artificial and sweet. I'm British and love sugar naturally but these were rather sickly.

I've been to many Hilton's all around and the food is hit or miss, however you have got to eat here.

I started with the most scrumptious crab cakes that had many pieces of lump crab.

Follow that by pan roasted chicken on top of risotto and roasted carrots. You have a wonderful meal!!

I will say that the chicken was a bit gamie for me but it paired well with the corn, cheese risotto and roasted carrots.

I would definitely come back and try another entree on the menu.

I'm usually skeptical about hotel restaurants, but I'm glad I was able to come here! Approaching the restaurant you'll find the atmosphere here to be welcoming and relaxing. If you check-in on Yelp during dinner hours, you get a free appetizer! I got the Mac & Cheese with the Burnt Brisket Ends and it was great! Very cheesy and creamy. The bacon and brisket made it even better as well. For my entree, I got the Belle Burger which was good as well. I liked how it was on a pretzel bun and had pimiento cheese & tender belly bacon. The unique ingredients made it a good burger. It was a bit too greasy
