Lucky Duck Cafe

The food was delicious! The fried vegetables were amazing and the salad was nothing short of green. The fried catfish went swimmingly with the tarter sauce. To top it all off there is a ice cream place next door!

Wanted to like it, mashed potatoes were 10 minutes late behind the chick steak. Foam plates for salad were way too small and the Texas toast was cold.

Food was great! I had the mini trifecta and the sauce they served with it was really good. Some sort of horseradish vinaigrette concoction. It was order at the counter service so not much to tell about that.

Hot fresh food. Ice cold beer. The chicken sandwich pours over the sides of the large bun in fresh delicious crispy goodness. Lovely fries. The deep fried zucchini is one of my favorites at lucky duck. After you're done with your meal it's a short step to the in house ice cream shop for a cone.

Ordered the 2 catfish filets and 2 shrimp dinner to go. The shrimp were completely inedible and the filets were overcooked and dry as were the hush puppies. This is the second time I've ordered to go and food was not very good at all. I only live 5 minutes from the restaurant so the food should have been hot and yummy. But, they failed both times and I will not try a third.

While the staff were friendly and the ambiance "cute", I was not impressed with the fact that all the tables are sticky. Went here for a treat and opted for a slice of pie. What came out was a small plastic container containing an overly sugary trifle-like layered concoction lacking any depth in flavor. All Cool Whip and crumbled something. Meh. I really hate to give bad reviews, the sticky tables and janky desserts? It's a no for me...

I've been to Lucky Duck several times and they never disappoint. Their menu is varied and they have the best burgers anywhere around. Add to that their prices are better than fast food places when you consider the portions are much bigger.
I would recommend them to anyone. They don't just have burgers either. Check out their online menu. Enjoy!

BLT was good. Men's room has gotten worse. Dividers between the urinals are all rusted. A few hours work to sand and paint. If they let this get so bad. What about other stuff. I mentioned it to a worker and she clearly knew. Off my list for now on

Great place! I got the Deluxe Cheeseburger. It come topped with mayo, lettuce, tomato, cheese and the best grilled onions! Fries came out hot and crispy. Sweet tea was spot on.

You must order at the counter. Pick up at another counter when they call your name.

So this place was adorable. Super cute I wish I would have gotten more pictures! The staff was very nice and polite, and we only waited like 15-20 minutes for our food. My sister got a double cheeseburger and she said it was really good! I got the chicken fried steak strips, I won't lie they were not the best. They didn't really have any flavor and the steak itself was tough and grisly. I also got the fried pickles which were incredibly salty but not terrible. If we ever stop here again I'll play it safe and just get chicken fingers or something. All in all it wasn't terrible. Their sweet tea is

I have been to this wonderful place 3 times. It is such a great value and the portions are awesome. I have had the Chicken fried steak twice and the Catfish basket once (comes with 4 huge pieces) and just let me say.... WOW! THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT! It may be served on styrofoam plates, but that just allows them to keep the prices low. The salad was fresh each time and all the food was served hot and VERY FAST! Will be returning there again today for a late lunch.

SMALL business owners keep this "customer friendly". Since finding this place we find a reason to go weekly. Like catfish - It's the best. Hamburgers - the same. Daily specials are great too. Have not found a thing that we have not liked. Small eaters - my husband gets the "Kids catfish". Every bit enough for an adult that does not need lots to eat.

ATMOSPHERE - Like a back in history building. Lots of automotive signs, etc.

What a pretty place!? We went in there to sit down and talk with someone who lives in Taylor. I had a cup of coffee and my bf had some BLT sandwich that I didn’t get to take a picture. He said it was good. We will have to come back some other time to try their real meal. The place looks nice and unique.

Can't fry chicken here, if you want the grilled chicken sandwich but with fried chicken, don't even ask, because they can't possibly do that. Lots of fried sh*t in the menu, but can't manage the yard bird. Good help is hard to find I guess

Catfish was light, flakey. Crunch to the coating. Slaw was sweet; maybe needs an acid in the recipe. System liked the chili; reminded her of the chili at Big Boy's 40 years ago. Yes was moderately strong, but nothing special.

We road the train into Taylor and wanted to support a local restaurant.

The chicken fried states had good flavor but was very tough. Overall is was fine.

The French fries are absolutely the star of the meal. Crispy and flavorful.

OK Kids, this is one of my quirky faves. When I need a "Quick Fix"...ready?
I'm tired, exhausted, I wanna go home, BUT, I will get out of my car to get this happy plate. I want great fried Shrimp, fries, salad, lots of tartar sauce, Ranch, ketchup, and the fastest route home! I can shed clothing faster that a fan dancer, pour my D Coke, get the S & P off the end table, grab a left over Sonic napkin, and I'm in!
I dive into those shrimp like it's "The Last Supper", with all of Jesus's Fishermen. Next comes my Amen and Goodnight.

Catching up on my reviews and I could not forget this place. We went on a motorcycle ride out to Taylor to get a flag at one of the crafty stores and explored a bit. This place is located a bit off the main drag, it is pretty large and you order at the counter then they holler for you to come get your food when it is ready.

Just went with the suggestions of the gal at the counter....fried catfish fingers, fresh and lightly breaded very good. Chicken fried chicken dinner, what is not to love. This is not a place to go and get salad. We had enough leftovers for another meal, and it was super cheap
