Our patio is now open for outdoor dining but seating is limited due to spacing for social distancing. In addition to in person dining we are now proud to offer online take-way as well as your favorite delivery services below. Capurro's is one of the only restaurants in San Francisco that has a permit to buy fresh seafood right off the local fishing fleet in Fisherman's Wharf.

As a 3rd generation Italian Restaurant Legacy we pride ourselves on always using fresh ingredients. Always from scratch. Our pasta is handmade in the restaurant every day. No cutting corners has been our motto since 1946. In 1898 the first of seven brothers from Sant'Elia, Sicily arrived on the shores of an almost unrecognizable San Francisco.

5 stars! The clam chowder bread bowl was SO flavorful! And a cup of it here is cheaper than at the pier where it's crowded and there's nowhere to sit! This place is so beautiful with all the Colorful decor! The had indoor and fun outdoor patio seating. The fish and chips was great. I got the kids meal and it was plenty! And the fries were so hot and fresh we had to let them cool down! I SO appreciate some fresh hot fries! The booths were cozy and everything felt clean. Staff was friendly.
***If you liked my review or found it to be helpful give it a thumbs up. 👍 thanks!

I went here to eat lunch on 12/11, mainly because another member of my party was very hungry and wanted to eat immediately. The place was not very busy and I use the rule that if it's busy, the food is usually good and reasonably priced. I did not like that we had to order at the bar and leave a tip at the bar before receiving the food and service. Also, we had to order drinks at the bar and bring them to our table. The food was relatively expensive due to being in the Fisherman's Wharf area, so you're partially paying for the location and view. The calamari we ordered was mostly

Capurro’s is an Italian restaurant that sits right beside the pier near Fisherman’s Wharf. On a cold windy night in January, the warm homely ambience of Capurro’s interior alongside the comforting fire pits decorating the alfresco patio is almost as welcoming and friendly as the staff who served us!
We ordered 3 dishes – Fish & Chips[2pieces] ($14.99), Fettuccine Chicken Alfredo ($16.99) and Combo Flatbread Pizza ($16.99).
The Fish & Chips are basically beer battered cod served with fries and 2 slices of lemon on the side and have the option of 2 or 3 pieces of fish. At a quick glance

The food was amazing! Gnocchi pesto was really good. Our family also had the chowder, burger and fettuccine alfredo. All were good.

The only con was the service. There wasn't any other than dropping our plates.

They have masks for visitors and ensure they are wearing them. There is good outdoor seating. You pay in advance inside. The good is rather expensive for what you get, but this is also because of the location. The good is tasty: the fish and chips is not too greasy and the crab sandwich seems fresh.

Family owned business. We ordered clam chowder, fish and chips and a clam pizza. Food was good. We sat outside since we had a large group. Parking is limited in the rear, but there is a parking garage walking distance. Indoor/Outdoor seating available. Owner came out and spoke with everyone who had sat down to eat.

DO NOT waste your money, you will be disappointed. This is not authentic Italian food. They microwave and fry everything. How can you mess up on spaghetti + meatballs tho? And the clam chowder, don't get me started. SF is known for this! How do you mess up on chowder? The best thing we ordered was the salad and a little vino to wash it down. Other than that, if you're looking for some good cuisine - check out cioppinos, boudins or many other restaurants that are a few doors down!

Kids menu- No thank you! My daughter loves her chicken and fries. She took a bite and refused to eat it

Me and my fiancé ate here twice while vacationing in San Francisco. Due to COVID, the ordering process was horrible. You have to walk up to the bar to order. If you order drinks, you have to carry them to your table. Due to inability to reorder once you sit down, unless you go back to the bar, you have to order all of your drinks at the same time. So I ordered 2 beers. We ordered our food, and paid for it (another bad issue with pre-ordering is that you are asked to leave a tip before you get any service). They give you silverware, napkin, and a number (like you get at a burger joint) that

From the moment we stepped up to the counter to place our order, we were greeted by the owner who is super friendly and shared the history of this family owned establishment for the past 7 decades. Food was excellent and service is amazing from start to finish. Hope to come visit this place again.

Excellent food, outstanding customer service. Simple and easy: order at bar and pick up a table. Simple that. Salmon ordered was delicious. After a swim at aquatic park and a short run that I was looking for.

Probably the worst crab sandwich we've ever had. We should have known what we were getting into....after all, people don't go to Fisherman's Wharf for the food. Still, no excuse for how awful the sandwich was. Might be better to call it a "crab salad sandwich", as there was nothing in the sandwich that actually resembled crab meat. The taste was completely dominated by mayo, with no hint of crab taste.

The local fisherman from Chucky's Pride suggested this place. Loved it! We are on vacation in San Francisco and this place is a gem! Had delicious fish tacos that came with a yummy salsa and fresh guacamole. Loved the open kitchen and the overall atmosphere. Will be back!

We had a big family get together at Capurro's before the COVID-19 pandemic which forced everyone to shut down. The food and drinks turned out to be fantastic. We ordered many things from the menu such as Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo, Cioppino, Dungeness Crab, Fried Calamari, Spaghetti ...etc. We had enough to eat and some to take home. 5-star rating all the way from food, service, to cleanliness.

The food & service was the best ever!!
The owner who called himself "The Ole Man"
was very friendly, gave us some family history of the business and welcomed us. He was right!
The crab was fresh & delicious! Our server, Winner & other staff members were very attentive & took care of us! The groupon deal helped us as my family is quite large! We can't wait to come back! Best experience ever!!

The worst dining experience of my life. Our waiter was rude and inattentive; took forever to get anything even simple water or bread for the table.

Food was horrible. Everyone's plates were just soaked in oil. (See photo of the oil I transferred into a glass). Inedible and left me feeling terrible the rest of the night. Not to mention it's way overpriced!

Such a shame given the great location. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

Disappointing.
Walked in, no staff within sight, so we sat at a table in the bar lounge. We sat there for about 10-15 min not know if someone was coming for our order. We figured out we should probably order for ourselves, directly from the bartender. Unfortunately, I believe a shift-change was happening so I waited until that was complete. We watch a waitress come up to the bar to get drinks for the dining room. I hoped she would look over and acknowledge us, but no such luck.
Finally, a dark-haired bartender that just got there and by then I was standing at the bar now, but behind another

Why did I come here? Oh right. Scoma's was full and had a 2 hour wait.

I wanted pasta and just simple spaghetti and meatballs, so after sitting at the Pub (which was pretty terrible) at Ghirardelli Square, we wandered down tourist alley and figured on this place because it was empty and looked decent.

I like to try 3 star spots because often times, the ratings aren't accurate as a result of writer expectations that might be off base or just general lack of reviews which off set an unfortunate average.

At any rate, we walked in and sat at the bar because it was quiet. Bar tender (David

So the six of us came here on a Saturday evening for a Groupon crab meal for $149. The meal consisted of 6 salads, 6 crabs and 6 desserts. The salad very plain - arugula, a few sliced grape tomatoes, shredded
Carrots and pickled onions. It was a bit overdressed for me in a vinegarette dressing. The crab was a total disappointment. It was so salty and small. It didn't even taste fresh. I was so thirsty from that crab. The dessert made the entire meal. It was a chocolate layer moose
Boston cream cake and I could have finished two slices by myself.
