Integrative Counseling Services (ICS) is a locally-owned behavioral health company founded in 2007 with the goal of providing high-quality addiction and mental health counseling services to Seattle-area youth and adults. Utilizing the latest research from the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), ICS views addiction as a chronic, relapsing brain disease. We believe that addiction alters brain function critical to decision-making, learning, memory, and behavior control.
With this in mind, we work with our clients to build a framework for understanding their compulsive and self-destructive behaviors, and help them in creating a plan to prevent relapse from happening.Ultimately, we want our clients to build a positive sober identity and thrive in recovery. ICS offers adolescent and adult evaluations as well as DUI assessments to determine an individual's involvement with alcohol and drugs. We conduct a full biopsychosocial assessment to build a diagnosis, level of care placement, individualized treatment plan, and program evaluation. The assessment takes approximately two hours.

I found ICS a difficult place for my child to actually get the help he needed primarily because their communications abilities were poor. I was never quite sure as a parent what I was supposed to be doing. There was also an issue with breach of patient confidentiality that was hard for us to overlook in terms of the professionalism of this team. I recommend to keep looking for other options.
