Are you currently at battle with yourself, your spouse, or struggling with your family, social or work relationships? Are you harboring depression, anxiety and stress, or guilt and shame? If the answer is yes, psychotherapy or coaching can help. Too often we ignore the warning signs because we are busy, afraid or ashamed, or we believe we are not worth the investment.
While we quickly dismiss our worrisome thoughts or toss aside our conflicted emotions, our compulsive behaviors can begin to surface as we try to mask fear, guilt, confusion, grief and suffering, or insecurities and doubts. When we neglect our intuition, ignore our emotions, or turn away from troubling and telling behaviors, we can easily start to feel unbalanced, lost, sad, frustrated and stuck.

Services
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in private practice. As a Psychotherapist and Wellness Coach, I assist others with setting and reaching their goals and becoming more self-reliant and self-aware. I also offer an objective and different perspective to challenging and stress-filled situations while providing you an opportunity to collectively strategize on how to improve the overall quality and functioning of your life.
I view therapy as a deeply personal and individual experience. I will adjust my therapeutic approach to best suit your style of learning and the ways in which you think, feel and behave. I often borrow tools from many different therapeutic approaches to ensure I find the best approach for you, yet I also believe that we all have certain commonalities.
The decision to pursue psychotherapy or life coaching is an important and personal one. Our first appointment is often dictated by the severity of your concerns and issues. Most often, I will encourage you to jump right in and start discussing what is most bothersome in your present situation.
In addition to addressing your concerns, we will often gather historical and familial information to develop a better understanding of your health and wellness needs and to develop a plan that fits your desired goals. We will often review your intake forms and symptom checklist which will have been made available to you for your completion before the start of your first appointment.

Everything we discuss is confidential under the American Counseling Association's professional code of ethics and Washington State law. Only two circumstances can allow me to break confidentiality: 1) if you sign a consent form allowing me to discuss your case, or 2) if you confide in me that you are about to harm yourself or another person.
I can help you define, sort-out, prioritize and develop your goals; however, therapeutic goals are ultimately determined and driven by you. Unlike many other relationships and friendships, our time together is about you and the focus will be kept on you.
I will help facilitate and direct the sessions through questioning and exploration, but ultimately it will be up to you decide what areas of your life that you would like to work on, change, accept or explore more deeply.I will help you do this by encouraging honesty, transparency, self-acceptance, commitment and engagement in your therapeutic work.
