Services
We offer many 12-step alternatives to recovery including individual, family, and group therapy, telehealth, screenings, assessments and other clinical evaluations, treatment recommendations, and more. A quality assessment is the starting point to ensure the right level of treatment is met. There are many reasons for people to obtain an assessment.
After having an initial appointment, clients typically have an assessment to see if treatment is needed. Assessments typically take 2 hours to complete; and afterwards you will be given a formal treatment recommendation. This ensures you are getting the right level of care. If you have any other questions, check the FAQs below or give us a call for more info.

I've been engaging with Nua Counseling for ~4 months and my experience has been nothing short of extraordinary. The staff are well educated and trained to assist with the struggles that may come with addiction and goes above and beyond to ensure their clients are supported.
Their ability to adapt to peoples personal experiences to provide suitable treatment is amazing. Along with being in such unprecedented times, Nua has committed themselves to providing resources and additional support as Covid is making an impact.

I've struggled with alcoholism for decades and have tried to quit on my own many times to no avail. In 2020, when things got really bad, I called around to several treatment centers for help but they were either very expensive and/or didn't take my insurance. I finally spoke with one professional who recommended Nua. From the very beginning, everyone at Nua was kind, compassionate and very helpful. It isn't like a traditional 12 step program. In fact, being in treatment at Nua has given me an opportunity to get to know myself through a more holistic approach...I especially loved the Cognitive Behavioural

I called this place to schedule an appointment as a new client, they got my information and told me that they will call me back because they cannot schedule right now due to some reason. After no call for a week, i gave them another call and this time i was able to get my appointment for a week later. Due to Covid, the initial appointment is supposed to be a phone call. So they called me at the exact time on my appointment time, but guess what? Just to tell me that they do not support EAP anymore and they have to cancel my appointment. How hard is it to tell me before my appointment? Its very unprofessional

I called them to learn more about their program. Free 30min phone call to get all my personal info, insurance, tell me a little about them and answer questions. Then they send a spreadsheet to fill out to see if its a good choice for you, and if they want to accept you.
That being said, they didn't accept for whatever reason, and I never have been a customer. However, they tried billing my insurance $350.00 for that general call! LOL, sketchy. Use caution.

I am so grateful to Nua Counseling and the two therapists I have met there. Erin Lynch and Alexandra Huston are very caring professionals. They have gone out of their way to work with me and the issues posed by my disabilities. Their compassion and empathy resonate through their interactions with me.
Erin is my main therapist and she has helped me tremendously to deal with my past trauma and current crisis. She has shown patience with my very slow healing and improvements. For someone with my circumstances, therapy can be a harrowing and painful ordeal. However, I know that Erin has my back. The

Nua takes a holistic approach to alcoholism treatment. Their individual and group based approach was tremendously successful for me. After trying to quit for 10 years, I am now happily and proudly 3+ years sober thanks to Nua. If you are ready to take quitting seriously I highly recommend Nua Counseling.

Nua is an all-around phenomenal counselling center and an excellent resource for anyone seeking support in Seattle. I cannot stress how difficult finding a reputable and caring counselor is. Erin Lynch is a tremendous and knowledgeable counselor and I cannot recommend her enough. By helping my family member navigate and overcome his addictions, Nua truly saved a life. They have offered continued and extensive support and are beyond understanding with their patients.
