A home inspection is a non-invasive, visual examination of the major systems and components in a home. Listed below are some of the things that I observe during a typical home inspection. Roofing: Walk on the roof (if accessible via a 17 foot ladder) and inspect the roof covering, flashings, skylights, chimneys, AC units and any other roof-related items.
We are Thorough: Our typical warranty home inspection will take 2.5 to 3.5 hours. We routinely find warranted defects missed by the builder and city inspectors. As part of your home inspection, we walk on the roof (if possible) and enter the attic, and we report on the operation of your cooling and heating systems, which often develop problems in the first year.
A WDIIR, or Wood-Destroying Insect Inspection Report, is a document that many banks and lending institutions require before a property can be sold. This report is typically called a "termite report" by many Realtors and inspectors. 90 Day Warranty: If evidence of termite activity is not found, we issue a 90 day warranty and will spot-treat any areas that show evidence of termite activity within 90 days.

Tony is very thorough, professional, detailed, and helpful. I highly recommend him. His detailed computer review with the clients at the home, showing them photographic verification of any issue, and all the perks of this particular home. He does written report after the inspection, but better than written does an entire 1+hour presentation of the features of the home, good and bad. He gives insight into issues which may develop over time with the property, giving ideas of what can be done to prolong the life of the roof, a/c, heater, etc...

We flew in from out of state for the inspection. Tony interrupted his inspection to speak to us and show us what he found. He was very detailed and thorough. Found everything from major problems to minor ones. He had a video display of what he found to show us. He spoke to us so we could understand, and answered all our questions. We would use Tony again, and recommend him to anyone.

We just came from a home inspection with Tony Jurewicz of Street Smart Home inspections. He was thorough and concise, and spent over 4 hours looking at the property. After he was finished, he went through his entire report with us while on the premises, and followed up with up with an equally impressive written report. We we impressed with his work and knowledge. He also did a pool and termite inspection (he is qualified in all), and Tony would be the first petspe we would contact if we needed another home inspection. Terrific.

I've used Smart Start twice now and if you want someone to really inspect all aspects of your home, call Tony at Smart Start. Very thorough and explained everything after with detailed pictures right there in my home. Found a number of important issues on our 1 year old house that I would have never known about. My past experiences with home inspectors has not even been close to what I got with Tony!
