The Elaine Ellis Center of Health was founded in 2010 by the relatives of the late Elaine Ellis, who lost her battle with cancer in 1993. She was the matriarch of her family and a vibrant presence in her community. Her kindness and passion to serve others who were less fortunate extended beyond her family and friends to anyone who was in need of food, shelter, advice, and good conversation.
Though she is unable to see the fruit which her character produced, her legacy continues, and is the driving force behind the Center's mission to serve others. Elaine Ellis Center of Health (EECH) is a Not-For-Profit Organization dedicated to providing affordable comprehensive, preventive, and primary healthcare services to individuals residing in public housing and the surrounding areas, regardless of their ability to pay.

Honestly I’ve never had issues with the doctors it’s always the receptionists which is why I haven’t been here in a long time. If I have to talk to them just to see my doctor what’s the point? Might as well change my health provider. There is one who is always rude and just makes you not want to be there.

So I’ve been going to EECOH, For sometime now. I love their staff and they have been pretty consistent with the Covid-19 pandemic as far as testing. The facility is beautiful n always clean. However, the bathrooms has no paper towels, and with the spread of germs it’s just as important to have HOT running water in your bathrooms. The parking lot is not big. However , their is a party bus parked that takes up a large portion of the parking lot. This is definitely an ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN IF IT HAS NOT ALREADY HAPPENED. I think this is a BAD reflection on EECOH, to have this bus parked taking

I never have any problems with the Elaine Ellis Center of Health (EECH). However, today I called the office and was asked to hold as I typing this message I am still holding and it has been over (3:47pm) 40 minutes of holding. I called from my employer phone Yolanda answers the phone again (while holding on the cell phone) she asked may I help you. I let her know how long I've been holding from my cellphone and that's the reason I called from the employers phone; at that time I instantly let Yolanda know that I have been holding for over 16 minutes and Yolanda claimed she's the only employee answering

I was extremely disappointed in the service that was provided to me by the Clinic located on Kenilworth Avenue.
I called in about two weeks ago complaining of possibly having covid symptoms. Logically I called my primary care facility which is EEC currently. When I spoke to the office they told me that they would have someone call me to “screen” me and to tell me when to come in. I never received a call back or any kind of follow up. I went to Walgreens and took the covid Test due to inaccessibility at EEC. The results were negative! Even then I was still suffering for days with extreme sore

This location now has a dentist and Dr. Ishmael is 1 of the best dentist I have encountered. He does a great job on whatever I am going in for whether it’s a root canal prep or an extraction. He takes his time and demonstrates professionalism and care for my mouth as well as checking on me throughout all procedures to make sure I am doing fine. His assistants, likewise excel at performing. Thanks Dr. Ishmael for being a great dentist and assisting me with my journey for a healthier smile

Omg!!!! What a great first impression. The office was clean , smells fresh, and they gave my children toys to keep them occupied. The nurse practitioner was very professional and my child was very comfortable. She was very nice and she offer things that were already on my mind. Oh not to mention the phlebotomist gave the children a treat once he was done. Great job you guys you don't find places like this often
