I WOULD NOT recommend moving here. This apartment complex lacked making sure the apartment was safe, cleaned, and the appliances work before moving us in. There was balls of hair all over the floor, the carpets were dirty and had dog hair/ women’s hair all over (I had to personally vacuum and shampoo carpets- which the water was dark gray), the secondary bathroom’s bathtub has rust inside and I have YET to use it. The dryer didn’t work and the laundry room closet door fell off it’s track and almost hit my 3 year old son in the head- THANK GOD the other door blocked the fall. The front doors

I’m very happy that I found this community. Columbia has a LOT of different apartment options, and this one was perfect for me. I spent about a month+ trying to find something close to downtown Columbia, the mall, restaurants, etc., but not too close that I’d have to deal with the daily traffic congestion and noise that goes along with that. I also wanted nearby highway access as I work in the City and wanted to be able to jump on the highway easily in the morning. I wanted a pretty, relaxing, peaceful neighborhood, that felt like home. I don't live in the Alister apartments, but I toured with Sierra today and she was beyond the kindest/most professional Leasing Consultants I have ever met. She let us know that she hadn't been working there long, so she was still trying to learn everything and even so, she answered all of our questions and was such an incredibly good conversationalist. I love living in this community (especially this building 5301)!! The community is quiet, well-kept, maintained and very professional. I love that my dog has a manicured dog park to play in as well.
Management does an awesome job with responding to calls & emails in an efficient manner. Allister apartments are hands down the best community that I have lived in since I’ve lived in Maryland in 2000! Job well done! I’m VERY happy with my decision to move here!

1. Building structure — Noise complaints seem to be a frequent occurrence here. . The creaking of the floors above us are so loud that it wakes us out of our sleep at times.
2. Thin Walls/Floors - You can hear everything your neighbors are doing, and I mean everything! Your best bet is to live on the third floor if you want to avoid any noise from above.
3. Cost - The price of rent is too high for the quality of the apartments. The windows aren't weatherized. The doors weren't weatherized when we moved in. All this has caused our BGE bill to be higher than any other place we've lived. You are
