Simplicity Funeral & Cremation Care is owned and operated by David Fisher Jr. In 2009, after a long career managing funeral homes and cemeteries for a large international funeral corporation, I decided that I wanted to start a simpler, less expensive alternative to arranging funeral and cremation services.

Daughter of Santiago Alvarez and Felicitas Corral de Alvarez. Her parents proceeded her in death. Hermila was a 50 year resident of the Pilsen community who owned and worked at Los Cuatro Hermanos Grocery Store. She was a devout Catholic who helped many families in the neighborhood, guided through her Faith and love of Christ.

Dave was very accommodating and understanding with the situation we were going at the time of my mom’s passing. They made the entire process easy for me during this extremely difficult time especially during the holidays. I would not hesitate in going back to them again and highly recommend their services.

Highly recommend Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Care services, although really hope you will never need them. The owner was very pleasant, knowledgable, responsive and caring. All the parts needed when you are dealing with the most difficult situation of your life. My dad passed away in the middle of the night, and David Fisher arrived very shortly after. Was very professional, caring, gentle and human-like (unlike some other funeral home staff who just see you as a dollar sign). I am very pleased with the services.

When my husband died suddenly, I did not know where to begin. I found Simplicity Funeral & Cremation Care on the internet, called the next morning, and it was the best thing I did for myself. Dave Fisher took care of everything we needed, first coming to our home to discuss arrangements, making the arrangements behind the scenes, directing and diverting "people traffic", and closing it all up at the end. Dave made this painful time for my family and me so much easier to deal with, and he helped us to honor my husband with a lovely service.

I can't even express in words how much Dave Fisher helped my family out with my brothers passing. My brother had no life insurance; It was unexpected and I wasn't prepared financially or mentally for this tragedy (after all who is).
Upon calling him he was emotionally sympathetic of my brothers passing and helped me to get through this tragedy with warmth and compassion.
