I rented with BAPM for 3 years. Katrina was professional, and responsive. I was a single mom moving into my first place on my own and after another unit rented, katrina personally reached out to me to offer a different (and better) one prior to it even going on the market. Whenever I had a need for fixing, it was quickly handled. My only complaint was the coin laundry (change to card, please!) I have since moved out but this place was my refuge at the time.

I lived at one of their properties in Redwood City for two years. They were an excellent management company. They were very reasonable and responsive. For example, my income was slightly below the requirement, and they let me sign a lease anyway with an additional deposit (which they returned after a year). The on-site property manager in my building, Stephanie, was awesome! So friendly and responsive to any concerns. The building was well-maintained and clean. Nothing fancy, but it worked for me!

I am 2.5 months into my lease and wanted to give a shout out to a number of people at BAPM who have been such a great pleasure to interact with. Like many, I was amazed from day one at how professional, effective, and fair BAPM is as a company. There were some issues in my apartment on arrival, and they dealt with them promptly. Katrina has been so responsive, kind, and positive, and Andrea has gotten right on every maintenance request and been very responsive. In all of my years renting, I have never before seen such a professional management company.

We rented a duplex in Redwood City through BAPM for 2-years and were very happy with the experience. The duplex was an older, somewhat historic home that did require quite a few maintenance calls, but BAPM took care of every single one extremely quickly and professionally. We primarily worked with Katrina Barney or through their great online web-portal. No surprises at move out either. Thanks!

Lived in the same place for almost 3 years, and can say without a doubt that BAPM is one of the best property management companies I've had the pleasure of doing business with. Fair rent, no problems when we moved in, and no problems when we moved out. No real issues over 3 years either, completely smooth sailing throughout.

I lived in an apartment managed by BPAM in Burlingame for 6 years. The team was always very responsive to any issues that arose (very infrequently), including replacing the refrigerator and installing a garage door opener at my request. BAPM even paid for the garage-door installation even though I had agreed to pay for part of it.
I enjoyed my time in the apartment and enthusiastically recommend BAPM to anyone looking for an apartment in the Bay Area!

We rented from Bay Area Property Management for 3 years and were very pleased with their professionalism. I was always able to reach someone when needed. Questions and maintenance requests were handled promptly, and they fixed everything that we requested. Our rent was not raised exorbitantly yearly, and in fact was somewhat below market. Should they have another property that meets our needs in the future I would rent from them again without hesitation.

We were tenants for two years and felt very cared for the entire time. The online portal was easy to use for paying rent and communication about maintenance requests was prompt. On the rare occasion that I needed to visit the central office in RWC, the team was friendly and helpful. The unit we lived in was beautifully remodeled too. We connect youth in/from foster care with caring adults who provide guidance and support in a variety of areas including housing, jobs, life skills...We recently worked with BAPM and I was so impressed with everyone on their team. I was a tenant at this property for over 3 years and I am extremely satisfied with the experience. When we moved in, the house was provided to us in good condition (deep cleaned, new carpets etc.). Their staff is very approachable, easy to deal with and are prompt in resolving any issues faced. The property manager-Katrina Barney and Mike Farson (at the property) are always helpful and easy to work with. I also ended up receiving my full security deposit back as I vacated the house in same great condition as i received it in. I would definitely recommend this property to new prospective tenants

BAPM has managed our rental property for a year. They always provided great services. We worked with Heather on renting out the property. It was a quick and smooth process. The suggestion for upgrades were excellent, and it took us less than expected time to find a great tenant. We worked with Katrina on maintenance. She is great at staying in touch and following up. As the properties underwent a lot of inspections, the responses between us and the tenant became very tedious. Katrina always responded quickly, so we never missed any deadline. I've been a tenant for almost a year and am incredibly satisfied to have landed with BAPM. Previously, I've had mixed experiences with a range of mom-and-pop operations and corporate landlords. I can’t recommend the team at Bay Area Property Management enough. I was the victim of a craigslist rental scam when I was moving to the Bay Area to follow my startup dream, and when I turned to BAPM for help they were with me all the way. From accommodating a last minute virtual viewing from 1500 miles away, to a lightning fast approval process, to staying late on a Friday so I could sign my lease and move in, that’s what I call a differentiator in the market. I moved out only because I was moving closer to work, but otherwise was incredibly pleased with my place and my experience with BAPM

Heather's company professionally and quickly found tenants and established a lease for my family's rental property in Redwood City. Bay Area Property Management also saved another unit owned by my family from losses due to non-paying and disruptive tenants. This company's staff show an excellent understanding of California rental property laws. Staff act ethically toward the rights of tenants, but also promptly and effectively take actions on those who don't pay, care for the property or otherwise create nuisances. I applied over a week ago and paid a $35 application fee for one of the rental properties they manage and I still have yet to receive a single phone call or email with a status update, even after having followed up. Regardless of what number you call (either the main number or any one of the personnel numbers listed on the website) you are taken through a voicemail greeting with an option to leave a message in a general mailbox.
This particular rental listing is still being advertised as available on both Craigslist and the BAPM website, so I assume their property owner client is also suffering

TL;DR: This management company is extremely professional and I highly recommend renting from them if you find a property you like.
The long version:
Finding the unit: My husband and I had a weekend to find a place to live in CA moving from out of state. We were able to view the unit (3 bed 2 1/2 bath 2 car garage) after a late landing in the evening on a Friday. We decided to move quickly on the property and dropped our app and fees at the office on Saturday. They expedited our application and we were able to sign the lease before we left

Shelynn, our property manager at BAPM, does a great job of being an advocate for both the tenant and owners of the property. When an issue arises with our property, Shelynn immediately responds and resolves the issue in a timely manner. She is super friendly and professional. I am always happy to see her during her annual inspections of our property.
