What is a Cataract? A cataract is the clouding of the crystalline lens in your eye. This opacity obstructs the passage of light resulting in a reduction of clear vision. Normally, light passes through the clear lens and is focused onto the Retina. However, the natural aging process can cause the lens to become cloudy, or milky.
The cataract blocks the passage of light through the eye and causes distorted or blurred vision, glare, or difficulty seeing in poor lighting conditions. A nuclear cataract forms in the lens. Those over 65 are more prone to develop this type of cataract. More than half of all Americans over the age of 65 will develop a cataract.

Dr. Gibson was fantastic - I love my new multifocal contacts. No more cheaters. The first pair she pulled got me back to 20/20.
My reason for only four stars is that I agree with some previous comments regarding front office staff. Kind of twilight zone-ish. I never felt so unwelcome anywhere. We had also previously left voicemails at front desk and never got call backs.
I would go back just for Dr. Gibson though.

Very friendly and accommodating staff and doctor. I *hate* any sort of medical appointment but the environment in this office is very warm and inviting. I arrived early, filled out the paperwork and was seen a few minutes earlier than scheduled which was great. They were extremely patient and helpful while I took 20 years to try on 3000 different frames because I couldn't decide and because of that I was able to find one I was extremely happy with. I highly recommend this place for eye care.
