The management does not return phone calls or emails. Ever. Kathleen at the front desk is downright rude and asks personal questions that she has no right to ask. There is a huge lack of communication between the management and the front desk AND the residents .After having my Uncle there for 2 years now, it’s actually all gotten worse. And let me… say it’s a lot of money to live there. A LOT. The only shining star is the Head Nurse Jeffrey Denis. Absolutely a wonderful and caring man who does what he says he’s going to do everything single time.

I am so glad we got my mother in law into Village Walk. The staff is wonderful and so caring. We are constantly updated on things that are going on or any concerns that we should be aware of. They have her participating in events going on and there are many. She is in the dementia unit . That doesn’t stop her from doing a lot of things they offer. Always looks very well taken care of. Check out their Facebook page to see what is going on and the smiles on residents faces.

I can’t say enough of how great a facility this is. My aunt (who for privacy I will not name) has lived at Village Walk for over 2 years. The staff and management has been so gracious especially since the covid pandemic. Aly and her team have kept the residents busy with activities all day long even going room to room during the isolation months. My aunts favorite activity is Bingo, which is almost every afternoon! She raves about the food, and loves being back in the dining room with her friends, after some time in isolation. Any questions or concerns about her health are always answered promptly

When I went looking for an assisted living facility for my mother who is 89 years young, my wife and I visited many facilities. What stood out was that other facilities felt like nursing care and Village Walk at Patchogue looked and felt like a five-star resort. From the first day we observed residents engaged in community activities and community life that was vibrant and joyful. All the residents we encountered were smiling and expressing their joy to be there. Mom became a resident in September of 2019. She was thrilled to be in an assisted living facility that she not only felt safe and secure

VW is not keeping up with the covid visitation times! Fully vaccinated people are not allowed to visit without a covid test, for every visit, and a half hour appt sitting in a small common room. It’s a complete disservice to the residents and their families. The residents need their families in their rooms, checking out their belongings and what… they may need. Also a sense of some normalcy in visiting for more than 30 minutes! Surrounding assisted living facilities are allowing visits without testing. The DoH says either full vaccination OR a covid test. VW admin has taken the stance

I can’t begin to thank the staff for the way they treat and care for our dad. They are like family to dad and all
Of us and treated all of us like family since day one. Michelle. the director has done an exceptional job in keeping the residents safe. We may have wanted to visit more .. but soon came to realize it was for everyone’s safety to be apart.. But now we can visit, and even get tested at the Village Walk.. The residents’ and staff’s safety is the most important thing , to me. Every staff member has put their own health and their family’s health on the line to care for our parents

My father is a 2 1/2 year resident of the village walk. My dad has received wonderful care there. The nursing staff has been wonderful. Recreation staff is caring, kind, and compassionate. Through the covid pandemic we as family members and the staff are under tremendous pressure as this is an unprecedented time. The nurses and aides go above and beyond for my dad as he requires medication management. They love him and he knows it!!
I am not happy that I can't see my father as much as I would like, but I understand that the village walk is doing what they can to protect their residents. I would

Moving a family member to assisted living is hard enough but it's especially difficult for those moving away from their home and loved ones. However the staff at Village Walk make that transition so much easier for both their clients moving in as well as the family members wanting the best for their moms or dads. During the covid pandemic our mom who turns 99 this November and still lived independently finally decided it was time she ask for help and frankly we knew she was also getting lonely not interacting with other adults on a regular basis. So our search began until we found Village Walk

I can’t say enough positive things about our experience so far with Sandy, she is truly an angel. During a beyond stressful time with finding our dad an assisted living facility, she somehow managed to calm our nerves by going above and beyond in a way I have never seen. As this was a brand new experience for us, she guided us in all the right directions with every aspect of this process. There are no words to express the gratitude and appreciation we have for Sandy, I simply don’t know what we would have done without her. Every member of the staff she has put us in touch with has gotten back

Village Walk is a beautiful facility that provides everything and more that our family can ask for to care for our mother. During the pandemic, we needed to relocate our mother from another facility. Within a week, Linda Cody, Director of Community Relations and Outreach, was there to facilitate the move. She is professional, knowledgeable, warm, dependable and hard-working. Day or night, she is always available to answer questions, address our concerns and point us in the right direction. My family and I cannot say enough about Linda and the care our mother is receiving.

The staff is extraordinary !! Everyone cares about my folks like I care about them. The residents are awesome as well. If you need an option for a loved one, don’t hesitate to call and visit! My parents are living there over a month and LOVE it! The activities are constant and their biggest concern is what can we sit out on to nap—they need to pace themselves. Lol. Can’t say enough!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
