I would like to take a moment to introduce myself to everyone who isn't familiar with Clarke's Express Shoe Repair. My name is Farrell Clarke. Many of my customers know me by my first name, Jim. I am the owner and Shoe Doctor (Cobbler) for both of my shops. My original shop is located in Dundalk, Baltimore County and the other is in Bel Air, Harford County.

This man has touched my heart through craftsmanship! He has fixed my moms luxury bags and shoes and now ever since she told me I have come to him! He just fixed a strap on my luxury purse that is a vintage piece.
His prices are very decent and he really takes his time. He had one of my moms pieces for over a year due to covid but he wanted to also make sure it was PERFECT...and when I tell you he meant that...he truly did because it came out AMAZING! Looked brand new!

Clarke's is amazing and will get all of my future business. Farrell is so personable and friendly - not to mention the superb craftsmanship. I had a fancier pair of birks that the strap tore right out of the middle. Birks are not cheap and I only had them for a year. Clarke's went ABOVE AND BEYOND repairing my beloved sandals, even replacing the soles and reinforcing the cork - for half of the price of a new pair AND I don't have to break in new ones! I'm fairly new to the area and several people recommended Clarke's and I definitely know why. Don't go anywhere else

I was very excited to get my four pairs of shoes back. Over the weekend I wore a pair of my shoes and after dinner I got up and the sole detached from heel in the same exact spot again. Embarrassing to walk the rest of the night with a floppy shoe. When I called him and left a voicemail he told me that he’s sorry that my shoe “came apart“. Not apologizing for the fact that you did not correctly fix my shoe. I was looking to get some dress boots looked at and heels repaired. I didn't realize that they were offering curb side help so when I arrived at the door I was greeted by the owner. He took the time to explain what would need to be done, the price and the amount of time. He allowed me to make the decision about the work to be done and there was no pressure. He was honest and even brought out a pair he was working on with the same needs as mine and talked me thru the process . I asked Clarke's to give me an honest appraisal of whether or not the shoes that Bel Air Shoe Repair ruined could be saved. To his immense credit, the owner was honest with me about what was possible and what wasn't with the damage that was done, instead of nickel and diming me into perpetuity.
While those shoes weren't able to be brought back to the way they were before, Clarke's did a great job stretching a pair of boots

Great customer service. I've come here three times now and I've been satisfied every time. The prices seem fair and they repair the shoes quickly. I love that it's a family business. I wear bilateral braces (articulated at the joints) from my upper thighs down to a foot plate under my feet. As you can image, fitting a shoe is a nightmare! I need expensive shoes with extra width, and extra depth in the heel so that my brace doesn't pull out of shoe.

I had an unusual request, to repair a heavy canvas rifle bag that had pulled it's stitches. When I got the bag back, if I hadn't taken a picture of it previously for something unrelated, I wouldn't have been able to spot the repair. His work was top notch and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these guys! No credit card so don't be surprised (can't blame him) but VERY fair pricing.

One of the best things about living in this part of the city is that you have everything. I was walking to work today when my left shoe’s sole started to feel like it was about to come off and the right one looked like it was about to follow suit. Took it to Clarke’s nearby and they did a quick repair.

Although the shop had many repairs to do, he took the time out to work on my two pair of shoes while I waited and trust me, I really needed though shoes repaired for an important event. Great service! Although, due to the nature of the problem, they couldn't repair my boots(they did try), they explained in depth why they couldn't, and what caused the problem, and had absolutely no problems with getting a refund. Could have milked me for money at several points in the transaction, but never did. Class act.
