Dr. Daniel S. Hines has practiced dentistry in Washington, DC, since 1988. Since graduating from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, he has averaged well over 100 hours of advanced dental training each year. This continuing education keeps Premier Dental Care on the cutting edge of available science and technology.

I am Sara Green. Rich is my husband. We are both Dr. Hines' patients. He is a wonderful dentist and is the reason this 71-year-old has a straight set of teeth in pretty good shape. My husband is following Dr. Hines' instructions, and despite, some significant gum issues, still has his teeth as well. At our age, this is a big deal. Dr. Hines spends a lot of time with his patients and this too is a big deal. Highly recommend.

I am not a fan of dentist, so I stay away longer than I should, and that’s a problem! So now I need help and thank goodness I found Dr Hines, such a gentle doctor, seems to care about the patients feelings and patient! I also like is staff, bright young people, very professional! My entire family goes to Dr. Hines. We just moved from California and all needed a new dental practice to serve the needs of our ten-year old, myself and my husband, as well as my mother in law. We couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. Between the four of us, we’ve been to Dr. Hines 9 times in under four months to take care of all sorts of dental needs. I have experienced anxiety around dental visits for years, but Dr. Hines’ approach makes me so relaxed I nearly fall asleep!

I'm writing to update my previous glowing five-star review that I initially agreed to post on Google and Yelp. While Dr. Hines' office made a stellar first impression, my follow-up appointments have left much to be desired. The front office administrator, Kerita (sp), often promises to call my insurance company to verify procedural costs and update me, but rarely does she. I have to call her numerous times to get a response, and if she does call, it's the day of my appointment to tell me that I have to pay $500+ upfront or in two payments. It would've been helpful to know this

Sir with all due respect there was ample amount of time for you to pick up the phone and call me. I spoke with your office manager who spoke with you to see if you wanted to schedule me to come in and you said "no. So let's be clear I filed a greviance with my insurance company because this would get you to refund them.
This is standard operating procedure with my insurance, but you posted what they said but never denied the incident at your office. I to wish you well.

When I first visited the office for an exam, Dr. Hines recommended a $200+ electric toothbrush for me. I thanked him for the advice but told him I was not interested in buying it.
On the second visit, I was again pressed to buy this toothbrush from them. Again, I explained that I was not interested.
I went a third time for a procedure called a 'scaling'. It was explained to me that this was a deeper cleaning that went underneath the gums. I was due for a cleaning anyway, so I went.
At the end of this procedure, the technician came out and showed me that same toothbrush. She took it

I recently moved my dental treatment here and I am very happy so far. First they secured me an appointment very quickly and second my hygienist and Dr Hines were both superb in their professional abilities. Gentle, caring and helpful are the best words that I can surmise. I was quite please and will return for regular cleanings and anything else that arises.

I came here in November (groupon). I honestly, didn't like the cleaning whatsoever it was a JOKE!! & they said, I have cavities& I could get invalisgn (in which I knew, I didn't qualify for) nonetheless, I'm sticking to my regular dentist which is NOVEL SMILES!! I'm so happy with them!! I do not have any cavities as, I was told. & happy with my braces from novel smiles :).. I've had my braces for 4 months already..& went to my regular cleaning (4/16/15) & still no cavities !!

Premier called back the next day.)

I cannot begin to tell you what a good experience I had at this practice. The staff on all levels was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I, like others who posted, am not a fan of dentists and don't currently have dental insurance. Despite all of these facts I made a follow up appointment with them already!
The location is easy to get to, clearly marked with sufficient street parking. The office is warm with refreshments on site and they even give you a tour of the office prior to your cleaning.

I came to this practice after finding a Groupon deal. I don't have insurance so I was nervous about the cost of having cavities filled. However, the prices here are very reasonable and they have assorted programs available to help reduce the cost. They also have a CareCredit program available as a payment plan.

I was new in town, looking for a new dentist, and found these guys on a Living Social Deal. First of all, this is the friendliest medical/dental staff I've ever encountered. Seriously, every single person in the office was beyond nice. I can count on one hand how many times that's happened before. They are right off the Metro stop, so even if you don't live in the area (I don't), they're easy to reach. Prices are very affordable (and they have good plans for those who are self-pay) they don't push unnecessary procedures, and I was very happy with my cleaning and exam
