Services
Your Adventure By The Sea starts here. Our location is conveniently located across from the beach where kayaks are launched and next to the Recreation Trail, so bikers can get started right outside our door. We also offer family bikes (four-wheel) and electric bike rentals at this location. Book your rental or tour and get your Monterey adventure started.
Our shop at Breakwater Cove is ideal for first-time kayakers and stand-up paddleboarders as well as families with children of all ages. It is located next to the Coast Guard pier and is an exceptional place to experience the sea lions, harbor seals and otters. Guests are launched from a floating boat ramp which makes it ideal for most weather conditions and all experience levels.
Our Lovers Point rental shop is located on the beach and offers kayak, boogie board, and stand-up paddleboard rentals, as well as bikes for all ages and four-wheel family bike rentals. We're conveniently located right on the beach for your water activities and on the recreation trail for any land activity.
This majestic cove is now open for guided kayak tours and stand-up paddle board lessons (by appointment only). Go on a kayak or paddle adventure with Point Lobos, Carmel Beach, and the Pebble Beach Golf Links as the backdrop. Go on a kayak tour along the pristine waters of Stillwater Cove inside Pebble Beach and along the edges of the world-famous golf links.
Located just steps from the Portola Hotel and Spa and Old Fisherman's Wharf, this shop offers family bike (four-wheel) rentals as well as standard bikes and electric bikes. Hop on one of our bikes and get your Monterey adventure started! Plan a family excursion along Monterey's Recreation Trail with our four-wheel bikes called surreys.

Super Fun! We had a very experienced guide who made the tour fantastic. She explained how to enter the water which looks difficult but she made it easy! Then had all kinds of fun facts about the area, wild life, and history of the bay! She knew about migration, mating and the plant life and animal life in the bay! Highly recommend!!

We booked a two-hour kayak adventure with Adventures by the Sea and had a fantastic experience. We're a family of four and were in single kayaks. Our guide was Ann and she was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. She really made the trip for us. She guided us to see sea otters, sea lions, harbor seals, various seabirds, and to top it all off we saw several grey whales very close to shore. Ann told us about the various kelp species and all the info about the kelp forests. An amazing experience that I would recommend to all!

This is our second kayaking trip with Adventures By The Sea and we will keep going back! In November my family had an absolutely amazing afternoon on a group sea kayaking tour. My younger son and I were in a tandem kayak and husband and teenage son in their own kayaks. We saw tons of otters, including baby otters- such a highlight! We also saw seals, sea lions, pelicans, egrets and other birds, the top of the kelp forest, plus really great views of the Cannery Row. Our guide was wonderful. The staff were extremely friendly and so helpful getting us equipped and safely in and out of the water. So

The reservation was easy to make, the e-bikes were in great condition and easy to use, and our private tour guide, the awesome Mary Jane, was nothing short of outstanding. What a great way to experience Monterey and the beautiful peninsula and coast. Such a great family experience with a superb group of folks at Adventures by the Sea!!

I cannot give any complaints about this place. We reserved on a whim, still was met with great and courteous service. The online reservation was fast and easy. Depending on whether you fumble you credit card like I did. The young experienced woman who met with us explained how to use the bike. Thank goodness the bikes are easy and fun to drive. We had the best time together with our 8 year old. She rode in the little basket and along side her father and I as happy as can be. All smiles the whole ride through. It was a mini family adventure. I cannot wait to experience more adventures by the sea

Staff were excellent, they were able to give us dry pants and dry bag which was perfect for sunny and 60. It took 20-30 minutes tops to get from car to on the water which was great. We were out for 3 hours or so and had a blast watching birds, sea lions and other wildlife. We parked in the large lot just couple blocks northeast of the shop- went for a decent ride trying to turn around and circle back so best to go there in the first place and not circle around. Staff help you put in and take out since there's a small wave break to navigate but out on the water it was pretty chill- no need to paddle

Wow! We had an absolute BLAST on the 2 hour electric bike tour! Our tour ended up being just my husband and I and it did not disappoint! Our amazing tour guide was knowledgeable and so easy going! Check in was quick (we were ready with our forms before hand) and customer service was top notch! We would definitely book again without thinking twice! We would have done a kayak tour if we stayed another day! Thank you so much for the memories!
