A mile from Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco, California, Waterfront Restaurant boasts a view that far surpasses the tourist hubs. Opened in 1969, we soon became a favorite among local politicians and business people, and in time locals and foreign visitors were drawn to the breathtaking bayscape, farm-to-table produce, and sustainable seafood.
Enjoy spectacular views from Waterfront Restaurant. Our seafood restaurant in San Francisco, California, offers the waterfront's best views of the bay and Treasure Island. Our building was converted from an old longshoreman's bar on Pier 7. It is very San Francisco, dating back to 1894, with lots of wood and beams.
Sustainable seafood is our specialty. We closely follow sustainability guidelines and do not serve anything that is endangered. With our constantly changing selection, you'll experience the freshest local catches along with fish and seafood from all over the world. Just ask about our latest offerings and specials-it all depends what's in season.
With it's beautiful views of San Francisco and the Bay, private dining at The Waterfront Restaurant is unparalleled. Choose from a variety of rooms and seating options. Window walls surround guests on three sides, offering what is perhaps one of the most picturesque, if not unrivaled, views of the San Francisco skyline and the Bay.

The patio with fire pits enticed us so I made reservations asking to sit by the fire pits. When we arrived the host immediately said all fire pits were taken. When i asked about how long Of a wait he rolled his eyes and said "how would I know." It caught me off, made me uncomfortable and stupid for even asking such a question. He then said no reservations allowed for fire pits it's first come first serve. So they sat us in the worst outdoor patio seat, when I was probably the only one with reservations. He could at least have been a little more nice in his apologetic explanation

I always look forward to dining at the Waterfront restaurant. It is a wonderful experience every time. The food is fantastic. The staff is very kind and professional. The view of the San Francisco bay at Waterfront is absolutely stunning - always make sure to get a table in the tented pier section of the restaurant to enjoy the gorgeous view over the water. This last time we were there here is what we had that we highly recommend: great drinks including the tropical sidecar and the '22 spritzer. Buttermilk Fried Calamari & Rock Shrimp for the appetizer. We also had the Caesar salad and

Actually, we were disappointed. I met some friends from Washington DC.,there at the waterfront restaurant. I found that the risotto was not very good and there were not vegetarian or vegan options. We asked the waiter and they could not make suggestions and the only dish that I found was the risotto which was over $20 and not very good. So I guess it really is for tourists that want that San Francisco waterfront experience. And also because we had a party of five we were not able to sit near the windows to see the waterfront. They only had four top or four person tables and did not accommodate

I was there for event and we had a reception in the tent. The service was great, most of the appetizers were amazing and tasty fresh. I loved the shrimp and oysters the most. It was a full bar which was great but did take a minute as they had to run back and forth.
However I gave the guy a nice tip and he always found me quickly with my drink . Amazing how a little verbal and monetary appreciation goes a long ways
I might come back and try this place to eat. The view of the waterfront and bridge with the moon was pretty spectacular

I had a very similar experience to Madeline P. I think I was one of the three tables her server was waiting on! Our server was profusely apologetic that our drinks were so late coming out, mentioning they were very short staffed today. Luckily, we were a small group celebrating a work holiday dinner so we were in no rush. We were there to enjoy good company, good and views.
The food was excellent. The waiter was sweet and attentive (though clearly stressed with staff shortages). Drinks were on point! We didn't mind the wait so it was fine. We were charged for an extra drink but we didn&apos

If you're looking for nice spot while around the Ferry Building and avoid the crowds, this spot is a great place to have a break. The food and prices are alright considering the location and the view. ($12.5 for a chowder and $20 for a burger with fries). The service was amazing though and Wendie our server was a absolutely star and catered to our every need, would come back for the service and hospitality (food could be better though)

The view is really pretty here. Came from the farmers market and was enjoying the weather. The restaurant was fairly empty in the afternoon. I read some previous reviews about bad staff but they were on point today. They came by often, making sure we had what we needed. We ordered the Cobb seafood salad and sausage fennel pizza. Both were good but a little on the smaller side for the price you pay. I think you pay for the view so make sure you sit by the windows if you can :)

Dining: indoor & outdoor
Happy Hour: Wed - Fri @ 3-6pm (excludes holidays)
Oysters: $2 each for HH
I love me some good oysters & the ones served at Waterfront were sooo fresh & surprisingly decently sized for happy hour oysters! The oysters were served on a bed of ice per usual, with lemon, cocktail sauce, and champagne sauce. I usually eat oysters with mignonette, but this champagne sauce was delicious too! If you dine in the patio outside, you get a view of the water and the Bay Bridge. Def an amazing deal for good oysters & a good

We had a lunch here on a Saturday. The venue was beautiful. Staff from the reception to serving was very friendly. But I just have to say that portions were extremely small. Dungeness crab sandwich for $27 was more of a snack with a pinch of frisée salad. I understand that the crab is precious, the rent is premium, and the staff must be paid enough around here...but they could have loaded up with a bit more bulk to eat w/o having to resort to expensive goods - e.g., adding french fries would have rounded up, hence four stars. Taste was very good (including the oysters and original cocktails).

Fleet Week in SF!! Long lines to see the boats!! Booo. So the four of us walked away and looked for a restaurant. Luckily, we found this place to escape from millions of people on the street and decided to have lunch here. What a gorgeous view of the Bay Bridge! A magnificent place to watch some of the air shows.
The food was delicious. The kids shared a Margherita pizza and french fries. They were happy and satisfied. I even had a bite of the Margherita - I love the cheese and the sauce was good! I thought the french fries were too salty.
My man and I shared the Waterfront Cioppino, and I

Great experience, I was treated like a queen. Very curteous upscale service. Beautiful view of the bay Bridge. I ended up having the shrimp and crab salad and apple crisp. Everything was tasty and super fresh. Salad to entree prices ranged from teens to 30's. Great place to stop by and rest from shopping or traveling.

Always good. Classic spot on the embarcadero. Reviewing them particularly for their customer service There was a man screaming at the hosts about having to show his vaccine proof. They managed it with patience and professionalism. I was impressed at how composed the hosts remained.
Excellent cocktails too!! 🍸 this is a view from the inside bar.

Made a stop by Embarcadero for a nice lunch after spending some time shopping in the city. The past few times I've walked by this place it seemed like they were closed (probably due to covid) but it was nice to see them open again.
I started off with the Caesar salad. It doesn't come cut up into bite sized pieces, which really isn't a big deal. I liked it. Wasn't overdressed and the dressing itself was bright and flavorful. Could've used more croutons but I'm just a sucker for them.
I ended up ordering their seafood linguini! It was very tasty. I usually try to stay

Very nice restaurant overlooking the bay. It is a bit formal but they don't have a dress code. It is a sea food restaurant. Our best choice was the shishito peppers which were not hot and had a delectable aroma. The clam chowder soup was very good but I had better. The mixed grill was very tasty but the salmon and the 2 shrimps were very well done which made them hard. Generally a good restaurant with a good view and good classy service

Limited menu - went for the $70 steak, going to treat myself...denied! We are out of the steak (dude it's 6:00?). A little better planning would be nice. They were out of a dessert also - they are killing me.
The quality and service was really good for what we did have. The fish was perfectly cooked and had lots of flavor. Always love the warm sourdough bread in the City (best in the word - sorry France). The view was awesome, of the SF Bay.
I would go back, hopefully better planning on the managements part.

Waterfront views and a seafood-centric menu, without having to eat at Fisherman's Wharf. Even had two sea lion spottings during the meal! The food is tasty, albeit a little pricey, but you pretty have to expect those kind of seafood prices in San Francisco.
Oysters: These were quite fresh. Forget the exact make, but two types were from California and one type was from Canada. Briny and great with the tangy mignonette. Though they didn't provide any little spoon, so I had to carefully pour the mignonette into each oyster.
Waterfront Cioppino: You can eat this without getting too
