The Godwin family restaurant's concept began in 1952 on a corner of 1st Avenue Southeast. By 1962, Ron Godwin was fully invested and after 1975 restaurants were popping up all over Cedar Rapids, IA. My wife and I originally wanted to use this company to cater our wedding last October. After being given the runaround for months we were forced to use a different company. Winifred's Catering did NOTHING to earn our business but were more than happy to take our deposit. After paying another deposit to a different company we requested to get our deposit back for breach of contract, Marshall told my wife "Take me to court if you want your money" We did, we won, and still to this day, 10 months later Marshall has dodged our calls, emails, and requests for payment.
