Services
I have over ten years of counseling experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. My professional counseling experience includes individual therapy, group therapy, parent consultations, and family therapy in many settings, including hospice and non-profit settings, as well as in public and private schools.
Common parenting concerns such as discipline, challenging behaviors, and improving communication in the family. With all of my clients, we work together to identify your goals for therapy and to find the best counseling approach for you. Some of the treatment approaches I utilize are Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Expressive Arts, and Sandtray Therapy.
Play therapy invites children to use toys and art to express themselves and find creative ways of addressing their emotional, cognitive, and behavioral issues and challenges. This evidenced-based approach is more natural to them in expressing themselves and healing rather than relying on words and talking to address the issues in their lives.
I am in-network with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of NC (with the exception of some plans, such as Blue Home, Blue Local and Blue Value plans). For out of network coverage or other insurance plans, I can give you a receipt to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
