They've been my mechanics for 20 years. No matter where I've moved, I always get a roadside assistance plan that will take it to them. Sam and T.J. may be the only 2 honest people left on Earth. They will call around and do research if your car problem is one of those impossible to nail down kind of problems. I could go on forever with the frustrating situations my car has put them in, and they always do what's best for me too. How refreshing!

One of the most honest and very high quality Vehicle technicians in Newark/Fremont/Union City Area. A couple of my friend who have moved out of city still go to Tej and Sam for any vehicle related advice/repair. Tej and Sam always willing to go extra mile to help out their customers. Took my car here based on recommendations from people who've been here and all the good reviews and I'm happy I did. My check engine light came on and my car was jerking while accelerating. Dropped my car off to Sam, explained what was going on, and he told me he'd take a look at it. He got straight to the point and told me what was going on with my car and what needed to be fixed. Quoted me with a good price and a couple of hours later, he called and told me my car was ready. When I got there he explained, again, what the problem was and what was fixed. Great service! Thank you

Shoutout to Sam for taking care of my cars. He runs an honest, transparent business - He shows me exactly what's wrong, describes the pros/cons of fixing v.s. not fixing, and recommends me what he thinks. He has never pushed or "sold" me on a service. Instead he educates you about the status of the vehicle, and goes from there.

We were having water leakage in the front passenger side. It was happening only when AC is turned on. Got recommendation to perform diagnostics and based on findings repair will be decided.
Later on got call that only cleanup is required to fix the issue. We appreciate quick and honest service. We highly recommend!

Outstanding Auto Repair Shop! They do Quality work that they stand behind. Fair prices. Trustworthy. You can't ask for any better. I have been going to West Coast for several years and I am very happy I found them. I have several cars and they serviced all of them. I send my children there now too.
I really wonder about the couple negative reviews I saw posted. I am not sure those people are even reviewing the correct shop. I realize you can't please everyone, and some people you can never please. Maybe they are some of the competition in the area??.. I just don't believe them.

I had brake master cylinder problem with my toyata prius, when I have consulted toyata showroom/service center for my problem they give me an estimation of 5200$ but I got fixed my problem for around 700$ from west coast auto repair.
Apart from their price , I was highly impressed with their service and understanding level of the problem especially SAM who was main mechanic, I would refer him as Doctor rather than mechanic of a car.
I will highly recommend them.

Tej is very good person and very knowledge, i went over there as i was getting some sort of sound from dashboard and he without checking the car said everything in detail and as we know if we go to mechanic for small problem also they say us to repair even if its not necessary but these guys are not like to that, if its needed to repair they say to us otherwise they give us good opinion.
As we know ,now a days we search for good mechanics who don’t fool us and i would say this is the right place with good reviews.
As for now i would keep this mechanic for my cars for sure and recommend to others

I was referred by a good friend of mine who always go to this auto shop. I wish I've known this place before. I usually would take my BMW vehicle to a dealer, but after dealing and great experienced with Sam and TJ I won't go anywhere. They are very reliable, professionals, trustworthy, affordable and since I'm a female they never take advantage of me. Honestly they deserve more than five stars! Highly recommend, they are awesome! You won't regret it!

I usually dont write reviews unless service is really amazing or rubbish. I have had westcoast auto repair as my primary go-to repair/maintenance shop since 2009 for all my vehicles. They have served my vehicles far better than any other dealer or repair shops around the area. When it comes to being honest and efficient services, there's no one better than west-coast auto repair.
To sum it up, if you want a reliable mechanic, just like your doctor or a lawyer then look no further.

West Coast Auto Repair worked on all of my cars for the last 10 years. They are now servicing my 2013 Honda Crosstour and always take very good care of me. They are honest, they perform excellent work at a decent price, they are in my neighborhood, and they are always friendly. I will not take my vehicle to any other mechanic in Fremont, and that includes the Honda dealership!!
