The average person buys or sells a home only one or two times in their lifetime. The non-professional home buyer or seller is at a disadvantage in most real estate transactions unless they are represented by a Real Estate Attorney. The Zoning process begins with the Application for a Permit, which is met with a Refusal. The Refusal must be Appealed to the Zoning Board of Adjustment and a Zoning Hearing is scheduled. Their office was extremely unprofessional. Automated answer on the call. Once it was transferred the person barely was audible And just hung up the phone once they realized this was something they didn't want to do.

My fiancé and I selected Mr. Wise for a small claims case based on his favorable reviews on yelp. We were not disappointed. He called me back less than one hour after I left a message with his secretary. It took one phone call and several emails to get all of the related documents to him. He came to court prepared and was able to settle with our legal adversary with terms favorable to us.

When I applied for a new mortgage on a townhouse we were buying, our mortgage brokers informed us that I needed to transfer my old mortgage and deed to my husband before we could be approved for a mortgage on the new place. (The hows and whys of this are complicated, but the tl;dr is that I needed to improve my debt-to-asset ratio and transferring the old mortgage was the fastest way to accomplish this.)

Coren drew up assumption documents for the mortgage, got those recorded, and got the deed recorded on a VERY short deadline, since by the time we were able to get all the supporting documents

My experience with Coren as my legal representative was extremely poor. He failed to submit any material before the hearing and had not even notified me about this due date. His argument at the hearing was confused and not well prepared despite having the stronger legal argument by far. After the ruling, my tenant was supposed to pay me a small fee. I followed up with Coren multiple times about this and Coren has refused to return my calls or emails about this issue.

I am sharing this review as I do not want others to receive the same poor legal representation that I received. When you spend

We had a terrific experience with Coren Wise's services. We needed help to have a zoning variance approved. He spoke on our behalf at our neighborhood hearing, presenting a thorough overview of each of the proposed changes we wanted to make to our home. He filed all the necessary documents and paperwork with our local board, as well as with the various entities downtown. At the zoning board hearing, he represented us with the architectural plans and a report that, again, detailed the changes we were requesting. We were quickly approved. Although prepared and professional, Coren J. Wise was unable to successfully win my appeal for a zoning variance. He seemed confused and surprised when we lost our appeal. Admittedly, I did not do my due diligence before hiring Coren. I should have recognized the limitations of his experience when he was not able to recommend the proper variance for my business after our first meeting and consultation where I described our situation and provided a tour of our operations.
