In 1962 Miss Isobel took over the Granzow Academy and the studio became Stewart-Johnson in 1964. The tradition of dance excellence continues along with Miss Isobel, her daughter Kimberly Johnson-Spolitino, and an extremely dedicated staff. Many Stewart-Johnson graduates have gone on to careers in professional dance, including Complexions Dance Company, Bad Boys of Ballet and numerous shows in Las Vegas, Atlantic City and abroad.
Some have opened their own successful dance studios as well. Whether looking for a career or "dancing-for-fun, " SJDA students are inspired by the talented staff. Each spring the school presents an Annual Revue, competes in various competitions and occasionally holds special events. We offer classes for all ages, starting with little ones from 2 1/2 years old for both boys and girls, through our adult program.

A tremendous dance studio with a strong staff that have educated backgrounds in what they are teaching. Children learn the true techniques, fundamentals and actual names of the dance movements they are being taught. My girls have grown so much as dancers and in flexibility and strength since starting at SJDA. The annual revue was by far the best performance, well put together and the students actually draw the audience’s attention to the performance because of the level and caliber of the dance skills. SDJA is a great place for students to learn and develop a passion for dance. Thank you Ms.
